Hey VC, This site has done a lot for me. Given me info on pre-orders, given me info on artists to check out, given me friends for my Simpsons Tapped Out game....heh. I wanted to give back, and what better way than holding a Super Bowl Squares giveaway. If you aren't familiar with Squares, you get a square. http://www.last.fm/user/sidewinder03 I've been scrobbling religiously since 2006 - from iTunes, iPhone, Spotify, and anytime I listen to an album on vinyl or CD on something other than my computer, I'll scrobble it afterwards. 233,217 scrobbles to date. They really fucked up the launch of the site overhaul. REALLY fucked up, and lost a lot of users in the process. Since then, they've slowly brought back a lot of features, but the damage was already done. Some of the things that still piss me off to this day: Complete lack of social integration on home and profile pages. There is no way to see what others are listening to and strike up conversation without going to individual people's profiles. And without some kind of feed, what draws you to anyone's profile? Not much. Really, really dumb move on their part, when a feed of some sort would be really easy to implement. The forums are on a separate site now and focused purely on support. You even need a different login. Again, no social aspect to this. Inability to add events. I used to use the site to keep track of upcoming shows I was interested in. Now, still no way to add stuff, which means nothing's there. Recommendations: There used to be a visible bio for each artist, now it's just the image and similar artists, and you have to click in to read anything about the band. Also you can't dismiss recommendations anymore. They just stay there and update once in a while. The "Live" page widgets are fucking useless as they focus on trending music that has nothing to do with your own interests. If only this was catered to individual users' tastes and their friends, this would be a REALLY cool page, and where social interaction would be initiated. They totally dropped the ball here. So all that said, they've made some unfathomably stupid decisions over the last few years, but I'm still a music nerd and like to see my own stats. My ultimate dream would be if Spotify bought last.fm (still allowing you to scrobble via iTunes and the like, of course) as they're doing much cooler stuff with data, and actually care more about social integration even though they still have a ways to go too.

My co-worker is having a complete breakdown right now because her vacation request got denied because I asked for the same days off first. Apparently she'd been planning a Spring Break trip with her friends for the last year. Too slow with the paperwork tho.

The clear hasn't been at shows for a while. Last I saw it was at the Forest Hills show in 2014.

The images look a little over cooked in my opinion. If that's the look you like though then that's fine, your style is your style. I suggest getting to know the camera a little better so you can avoid having to ramp up your sliders too much in post. That practice tends to make it very obvious that your images are heavily edited. If you aren't already, I recommend using a lossless editing software like Lightroom. The image quality is visibly decreased based on what I can see on your site. I do minimal post processing. I use presets that I've made in Lightroom and curb my highlights a bit but that's it. I like to apply my style in post, but I don't use Photoshop at all unless a client asks me to. Even then I try to talk them out of it, but if they insist, I'll go in and clean up skin. I like to draw the line at editing out a few blemishes here and there.

I love it when just standard black is the most limited variant. Academy Fight Song did that on their KDev and Brand New pressings and it made me happy. This does too. As does this release in general.

I also picked this up. Came all the way from Greece. Took 20 days to arrive to my house in BHM, AL. lol IMG_5696 by Zachary J Drummond, on Flickr It's a 45's box set of Coldplay's singles from their first three albums, and their first EP from 1999 called The Blue Room. It's pretty neat. Some of the records are a little brighter than I expected, but a lot of the songs here are otherwise unreleased works.

Just ordered the more limited silver variant and thanks to the Canadian dollar being shit, it was only $27ppd. Jah bless crumbling economies.

Making a Murderer: VC Edition

I'm willing to pay money to them for not releasing a shitty reunion album. Edit: every single one up there hates to be in that picture. Except for Omar maybe, who looks like he's writing six new solo albums in his head in that exact second.

Erg. This will tarnish this band even more than the half hearted reunion. Last few Volta and antemasque haven't been very good. They should have just continued with antemasque. Plus Jim ward didn't know anything 2 months ago of them playing shows.

It was bad enough when labels started doing these rereleases with a few bonus tracks and a dvd with random stuff a few months after the album came out, doing this with vinyl though is so shitty. I guess I should start waiting to buy anything from hopeless with them already doing it for bayside, TBS, and now this.

Definitely interested, but man, I just picked up the standard version like 6 months ago. Track listing shouldn't have changed for the album though. Throw the bonus tracks all at the end, don't mess with a great track listing.
