Fever Queen is immensely underrated among those who've listed to the leak and shared their opinions, so far. It's one of the top 3 tracks of the album for me.

Fever Queen has to be one of the strongest album openers I've heard in yearrrrrssss.

Production, tops. Musicianship, tops. Overall inspiration, lacking. Groundbreaking, zero. Listening quotient, enjoyable.

My white whale is Caspian - Tertia - Translucent Maroon - EU exclusive - /150 AND I JUST FUCKING GOT IT. If you're a post rock fan you know what a whale this album is. Only about ten people have it out of the /150. Everyone is convinced these fell in a black hole in Europe never to be seen of again. I've only heard of it being sold once for a massive $200. I got it for almost half that. Four years of searching it's finally mine. I can't believe it. I'm so fucking stoked. Can't wait to get it in my hands.

I'd say give it a listen. I didn't enjoy it, but I'll probably give at a few more goes out of curiosity. I find it hard to dismiss a record of a band I like without giving it a few fair chances. It'll take more than one bad record for me to stop checking out new material from them.

For anyone looking for new music, get the Holy Ghost! albums they're great. But sadly the colored editions are long gone.

How could you claim to be a huge m83 fan and then criticize this album so much? This is an album Anthony made for himself like I mentioned before the great parts of the album are truly mesmerizing. Even though it's not their best album it's still better than the debut. And a weak M83 album is still a good album. Who knows? There was someone on reddit who really summed up the album. It has its imperfections at moments and can be frustrating but the good parts are not just good they're excellent. A lot better than most of the stuff I heard this year.

I get what you're saying, it's just not what I like in music right now. Will I like this record more one day? Maybe, who knows, that's the mystery of music. For now, I lean more towards heavier guitar / music, and this just doesn't have much of it. I also really don't like the production for some reason. It's just my opinion, if other people love the record, great, it's just not for me right now.

I fucking love this album. Chino is in amazing voice and these may be some of my favorite contributions from Frank Delgado. Probably has fewer hallmarks of Stephen Carpenter's guitar playing than most of their albums...the ones that are there really stand out. There were even a few songs I didn't like at first that just came together by the end. If you don't like it at first, give it a chance, and a little time to grow on you.

I usually stick my fingers in my ears and sing obnoxiously when I don't know how to deal with confrontation, too. It works especially well in person and has gotten me very far in life. Also, who are you? [edit] Easy on the downvotes there, jeronium. You're not impressing anyone.

Fuck, what a train-wreck. I don't think I've ever had to watch an artist that I so thoroughly enjoyed suddenly spiral down so badly. I'm all for bands broadening their horizons and expanding their sound, but this shit is torturous.
