    Need shipping help!

Thanks to everyone for the replies, especially this one! I'd decided to let it go anyways, but now there will be no nagging resentment for feeling like a 'sukka'. Also thanks for helping me not make an ass out of myself... i do a good enough job as is. Have a great weekend!

  9. I realize the label has an active member of VC... but I’ll post leaked song links anyways... about those shirts though!!! You’re funny.

  10. Far has always been a favorite of mine. Jonah did a house show for a friend of mine a few years back in his garage, it was pretty amazing. The $90 option is going to sting a little, but not as much as the sting of not getting it, and seeing everyones packages arrive when the project is completed.

  12. I’m guessing you don’t realize I work for Pure Noise and am kind of the voice of the label here. So, not really amused about this.

  13. They're fun for sure! More interested in this update myself. Studio News... Cats outta the bag. New O.R.B isn't too far away. I wonder if the periods in the name all of a sudden are because The Orb complained.

  14. I guess I got lucky. Mine came in and sounds really good. Sean was pretty stoked when I posted about it on IG, it's cool he interacts with fans there.

  15. You should avoid "The number of the beast" - compared to my dutch copy from the 80's it pales. The new press on 180 gram vinyl sound really compressed and drained of energy compared to my 80s copy. I'm not familiar with represses of the later 80's stuff but hearing "TNOTB" made me think that I'll just settle with my old copies. On the other hand the repress of "Brave New World" sounds fine.

  16. Thanks so much for your order. We just start using Whiplash mailers and my shipper is going a through a little learning curve so his output / hour isn't as fast as it was but we're getting back up the ramp. Enjoy your weekend!

  17. I've been in shipping processing mode so haven't had the time to spin one. MOV generally has excellent sound quality but I can't speak to this one yet. Maybe this weekend.

  20. I'm not a ton of help, but I've heard the same, that the 80s albums are not as nice sounding as the older presses. I haven't bothered picking up these reissues to compare though, as I've got originals up to FOTD.

  21. btw: $26.16 is an incredible price for the new box. Less than $7.00 per record. If all new records were $7 they could mass-market them again.

  22. Mine is supposed to be delivered today. I've had terrible luck with Marillion box sets the past year. Mainly, scratched vinyl. The thick cardboard innersleeves are terrible. Hopefully this set arrives in good condition.

  23. I hope they press it and then Amazon ends up selling a bunch of copies for 10 bucks again like they did with Now Here is Nowhere.

  24. I love TSD. It's not as strong as Now Here is Nowhere, but it has it's defining moments ( All At Once [It's Not Important], I Hate Pretending, Faded Lines, 1000 Seconds). To me though, the self titled is one of their best releases. I hope that they do a repress of that because my copy sounds like ass.

  33. man, I don't charge more than $4 on discogs and on here shipping is included or charge only what usps does, the normal $3.17...guess ive been doing it wrong.

  34. Wow, I just finished my 3rd listen. I have to say I am so impressed with the growth, intelligence and versatility this album shows. Sonically the album shifts in so many diverse ways but never feels fractured or scattered as it still maintains its cohesiveness. They took a lot of risks on this album and I think they really came through on the other end on top. Going to listen to this through out the day and investigate it further, but this was my initial reaction. Fuck yea Foxing, great addition to an impressive catalog of your already existing discography!!! The hype is real.....

    Need shipping help!

If the seller said "I can refund you $5, since there is an additional cost for packaging and supplies", he'd have covered himself, IMO, as I agree about mailers, tape, and time being worth recouping via S&H. Making something up about insurance being $4 was real dumb.

  36. Yeah, I charge a flat $5 ($6 on discogs) and typically pay whatever a seller sets when I buy something. I remember when it used to be called "shipping and handling" I dunno if that term is still used because I don't pay too close attention. Although, sometimes it costs more for me to ship than I charge. I'll throw insurance on there if it's more than a $15 record and I've had that come out to a little more than $5-6 total. But I do insurance to protect myself, because I know a buyer can just go through PayPal and I'm SOL.

Depends if they pack it well and dont have a reused mailer. It says $3.22 on some of my media mail packages but I'm still charging 5 or 6 bucks shipping to cover my time, gas, and materials. Most labels have USPS pick up for them too so charging close to shipping cost makes more sense for them.
