Deadwood is great. I hold it in high regard. Don't get the love Scarface gets either. It's not a bad film, but I don't think it's great either. Seen it a few times and I don't think I'd care if I never saw it again.

I wonder if the huge cost of some of these records has to do with nostalgia. I know Blink-182 albums aren't considerably more expensive than a lot of stuff posted in this thread, but I wouldn't have imagined that people would be lining up to purchase Take Off Your Pants & Jacket new for $50 13 years later.

I have a few (Ryan Adams-Love Is Hell, Beck - Sea Change, and Weezer - Blue Album) and they all sound amazing. However, I have read that pre-2000's are hit or miss. If you're in the market for one, and it's a fairly expensive LP, make sure to check the VC or forums.stevehoffman.tv for reviews.

I have received more fucked up records in mailers from people who don't know how to pack a record in a mailer properly than I have records being sent in taped up cardboard. Seriously, the old wrap the record in newspaper, slap between two 12.5x12.5 sheets of thick cardboard and tape up is a classic that rarely fails.

I'm all about sticking it to the man whenever possible, but the reality here is that a proper mailer only costs some pocket change. I sure as shit would prefer that sellers don't try to get all crazy and Macguyver an LP mailer. Half of the people on this board can't use the proper form of "there" let alone understand the structural integrity required to survive a cross-country pummeling of the USPS.
