  2. I’m surprised USPS took this. I once saw a guy trying to mail a stack of dinner plates that were wrapped in butcher paper

  4. *Just so we're clear I am a huge supporter of USPS and I am not bitching about this. If you feel I am bitching, please take your frustration out elsewhere.* This one has been fun to watch. For reference, I live in Connecticut. It's done more traveling than I could hope for in a year, and it still has a ways to go.

  5. when did this thread go from dumping on Ross for all the shady business practices to praising them for their releases?

  9. I use Mofi/QRP sleeves and put them in the pocket alongside the printed sleeve. The printed inners go in between the gatefold if they don't fit with the new sleeves (rarely). Buying in bulk is your best option. QRP sleeves are the exact same as Mofi, but Mofi charges more for a diferent namestamp. $10 to ship, but still cheaper than $20/50pk mofi. I recently bought 1500 - AS ships them loose in their big record boxes. 250 QRP 500 QRP 1000 QRP

  11. DRI still play 200 cap rooms in the US ≠ Metallica being one of the biggest and most recognizable bands of the last 40 years. That’s how that equation works.

  12. My college roommate mailed a small pumpkin once. Sharpied the address on, and taped enough stamps on it.

  13. I really like these: (100) 12" Record Inner Sleeves - 3-Layers of Archival Quality, Anti-Static HDPE with Rice Paper Enclosed Insert for Extra Rigidity #12IM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MPL2QGD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JU4dGbN27Y5DT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 They’re as good as MoFi but a little cheaper. 100 for $25 compared to 50 for $20. Helps when you’re needing to change out hundreds of discs at once.

  16. I feel like if it wasn't broken already you'd see the piece in the cellophane. This honestly makes me think less of RFC, they really didn't have to return that and are now broadcasting their shittiness.

  17. This is my theory. Either it was broken already and they were asked to return it or the customer was just upset that they didn’t get a no questions asked Amazon style replacement on a warp or ding and this was their act of protest.

  18. I knew it was gonna be this when I saw the thread title. It's hilarious but not really that big of a deal when you factor in the fact that the label was probably asking them to return a clearly broken record for a new one. There's really no reason they should have had to return it so this seems like a petty response.

  21. I don't have the white record, but I have test press #2 of 5 that never got entered into Discogs. I'll have to put it in there someday.

  22. Whew. Forgot about this because I was packed with meetings this morning. Obis are gone but got a splatter. Thanks Corey.

  25. I’ll have to look into some mofi sleeves. Should I just stick with Bags Unlimited or do you know a guy? Also, thank you @IndigoHollownot sure why half of it got censored with ads

  26. I usually just line my printed inner sleeves with a mofi sleeve then put the record in. Done it with hundreds of records, even when a sleeve is already split the mofi sleeve inside stops the split from spreading. I feel like this way takes up next to no extra space and preserves the presentation perfectly. I've had maybe 1 or 2 sleeves that didn't fit the mofi sleeve inside overall.

  27. Hey, you open the window, I’m just letting you know what I see inside. Also, Michael Jackson and Fleetwood Mac sold MILLIONS of actual records. Metallica sold MILLIONS of CDs. I feel like someone who graduated High School solving all these math problems today!

  30. TSR's pack job is one of the best on the market. Color in color looks fantastic and also matches the theme. As for me I went with the clear one and already started to regret about my choice.

  31. Just got my color-in-color in and it's splendid. Way more blue to it than pictured in the Instagram post they put up a while back, and I really like it that way. Looks like they bulk shipped to the US and used a forwarding service stateside, which is probably the right move. My record came packaged like a tank with minimal damage to the mailer (and none to the contents).

  32. As much as I love those records I doubt that we will go after them but who knows. We’ve literally been working on this one since may of 2019. It’s been a slow and arduous process with the pandemic.

  33. Subscribed too! Looking forward to your content man! Also this makes me wonder where @museummouth and his "Off The Record" channel went. Dude introduced me to same damn good tunes back in the day.

  34. Enough people probably complained after the first pressing of "End Of The Ring Wars" had issues with fucked up covers, myself included. A friend of mine had the worst seam splits I've ever seen for a new record. My seams were fucked too, I'm still waiting on a replacement cover which I'm just going to assume will never come. It's fine, I'll live. Someone else on here also had that issue. I think all subsequent pressings have been packaged a lot better.
