I pack all items very securely and carefully but in some cases this type of wear is simply unavoidable during transit and handling by the USPS.

Recording a full length with my blues rock band next weekend. Should have it out by Christmas time. Been whipping up artwork for a while on it - super excited for this to finally come out.

Last month, I sold a $50 Stephen Malkmus record to some retard. He wrote back and fucking complained that the paper inner sleeve was damaged, and the FUCKING PLASTIC SLEEVE was damaged. After several emails, we basically went into mediation via ebay, and I told him - send back the UNPLAYED record and I will refund you, and he ended up losing essentially. People are getting way too picky. When I buy a banana from whole foods, and it gets brown after two days,I don't go back to whole foods and throw it at someone, I fucking eat it.

I didnt really own records in 1999 because I was so fixated on the whole compact disc trend going on at the time, but I own probably a handful of albums that were pressed in 1999, which I think was what this topic is supposed to be... not what records you bought that year.

I've totally given up on eBay as a seller and don't buy there much either. I think the OP has done everything they can and should do at this point. I know eBay tends to take the "guilty until proven innocent" approach, but If the buyer won't reply to messages, and isn't sending any proof of damage, just try to stop worrying and wait and see what happens.

This same situation happened to me a couple months ago. In the end, the kid (no doubt some kid buying it to frame) only asked for $5 back after he spent $80 on the record. I obliged because $5 is nothing to settle a paypal dispute. He said next time I ship records I should use a piece or wood or hard plastic to keep the package from getting bent. You know, like how all record labels and distros use wood and plastic in packaging. GD kids.

Amplification takes that signal and amplifies it (no, really?) in order to make it strong enough to move the drivers of the speaker. A speaker is a collective of drivers that are moved by the signal, producing air pressure in front of them which to us, mortal beings, means hearing sound. When putting together a hi-fi setup, always keep in mind: The end result will only be as good as the weakest link. Buying an expensive turntable and a good phono preamp is useless if you're using cheap computer speakers. By no means should you decide to just get a shitty turntable then. You expect orders to ship same day and arrive the next? What kind of world are you living in? HT takes a day or two to process then a few days ship time. Hold your horses.

I've run into this situation a couple times and my response is always the same, I give the buyer two options: 1. Send record back and you will get a full refund. 2. Keep the record, and I keep the moneys. No partial refunds, ever. eBay claims are different than PayPal ones in that if eBay decides in his favor they will make him send the item back in order to get a refund anyway (in my experience) so either way he shouldn't end up with a partial refund.

I have a feeling that album got overlooked by most people. It was easily one of my favorites from 2010. I'll have to listen to it again later today, it's been a while.

This is so damn good, too. If you haven't heard of Talons, king, I'd change that immediately. Hollow Realm is a superb listen if you're into math-rock and post-metal. It's available for dirt cheap at Topshelf Records as well. And I believe they're shaping up to release a proper sophomore album as well... in the spring of next year, I imagine.
