I came in from Louisville. Strange Ranger’s van broke down and they barely made the show. Would’ve been cool to meet up!

Yea! At the show now, they just played and were really good. They played Leona, Sunday and Planes in Front of the Sun from the new album as well as Seesaw and a couple other tracks from Daymoon. Anyone who likes Daymoon won’t be disappointed in any of those new tracks, they went in pretty hard on Planes. Tyler Bussey former of TWIABP is playing with them currently and he added a nice flair.

Oh hey, are you me? I only have one other hip-hop 7" boxset though, that being Dilla Donuts. Found it new, sealed, and pristine in the wild sometime last year. I think it was a record store in Orlando. Really glad to have the Dilla/DOOM/Ghost tracks physically.

Not a guarantee but it sounds like they may restock closer to the release date, which was previously cited as 5/31. I’d check throughout the morning of the 31st and keep a close eye on it. If copies go up, there will be significantly less than today, which were allegedly ~380.

Daymoon is def special. Just different. If the last ep is any indication their Rot Forever sound can easily show up again, that 4th track hits just as hard as anything they've done.

You’re not wrong there. Sioux Falls > Strange Ranger, for sure. But I haven’t been disappointed with anything they’ve put out, even if it’s not up to the same caliber of Rot Forever. That’s a tall order to fulfill.

Just checked this out, especially after hearing multiple people compare them to the Go-Betweens. Really solid stuff, I'll definitely be picking this up.

Perhaps trying to really sink your teeth into the album is what caused the gash in your vinyl.

Final album confirmed for the sub and my guess of Wreck & Reference was spot on. Hyped. Heres the blurb: Absolute Still Life is the fourth full-length album by the experimental duo Wreck and Reference. The album marks a radical departure from the band’s heavy and noise rock origins and finds them driving toward a more electronic and abstract dimension. Like past albums, warped synthesizers and pillaged samples build up the harmonic elements of the songs, but the absence of acoustic drums gives Absolute Still Life a colder, more alien aesthetic. With fewer screams and stranger textures than before, Wreck and Reference find themselves alone again in uncharted and uncategorizable territory. Absolute Still Life’s cover depicts a sickly still life in which edible and inedible elements mix in an unnatural and unappetizing collage of bright colors. The title reflects the absurdist version of reality that we find ourselves in and unable to escape. To date, Wreck and Reference have released four EPs and three full-length albums. Everything, ever, seems to get reissued at some point or another. It really boils down to which is more important to you in the present – time or money. But with that being said, Hydra Head and Robotic Empire are really good about keeping Isis vinyl available. I would probably just wait it out. Between Discogs listings and inevitable represses, I see no reason to overpay for a copy. Surprised to hear 2014-reissues are fetching that much, though. Genuinely feels like I ordered those just a year or two ago at most.
