Hello all! Here's our annual RSD thread! RSD is here a week early for some odd reason but the other details are the same as always. Both shops are open 8am to 8pm and we'll have hundreds of RSD exclusive releases on hand as always and a few really cool things to give away. First; we've got a test pressing for the Green Day "Woodstock 1994" LP to raffle off. All you have to do to enter is buy a copy of the regular Woodstock LP from us and we'll pick a winner Monday the 15th! It is currently not autographed by anyone but we're hoping to get that changed before RSD. Secondly; we've got a Mastodon test press for their RSD release! Same rules apply as the Green Day give away and a winner will be contacted Monday the 15th THIRDLY!; The first 100 people in line in at either location will be signed up for a raffle to win a $100 gift certificate. Winners will be contacted Monday the 15th. FOURTHLY!!!; This isn't a giveaway but our next door neighbor Tacos Oscar will be open early for brunch/lunch so bring your appetites. SciFi absolutely gives TDAG a run for its money as my favorite BN record. I may not be as enamored as I was with TDAG during college, but both records have such an incredible atmosphere. I attribute that to their longevity and my ability to enjoy them, now, despite not exactly following their genres too closely these days. Also feel like there’s a fair bit to unpack with those albums on first listen, which always lends itself nicely to future revisits.

Totally with you. Randomly listened to Sci-Fi a couple weeks ago after not hearing it for a while and it’s just so good. Better with each listen I think.

That’s a fair deal. In all seriousness I do not listen to a lot of Deja these days, but Sci-Fi is still killer in my books and has held up pretty well since release. Not sure (and can’t be bothered to care) if that makes me a bad person to admit, but I quite like that record and wish I could’ve caught them touring it before they went off the grid for good.

I'm selling that super duper extra rare pressing of Science Fiction if anyone is interested. $40 dollars and you can get all the goodies like dried leaves, a pair of Jesse Laceys skidmark stained tighty whiteys, and whatever else is inside it. Full disclosure- The Skidmarked stained tighty whiteys are not guranteed to be in there. I've never opened it so I assume anything could be in it.

Damn. OSTs are seldom my thing... and videogame OSTs? Even less. It takes a special somethin’-somethin’ to entice me enough to hunt one down and physically own it. But MGS may just be one to qualify. It was the first game that truly immersed me, as a pre-teen, on that PlayStation. I thought I had it all figured out jumping on crates as a wild bandicoot, or mastering Parappa the Rappa... but I didn’t know shit, and I quickly realized that just 10 minutes into MGS. HG-W is an excellent composer and so much of the MGS soundtrack is haunting, cold, and sublime. I hold it in way higher regards than a lot of the bleep-bloop tunes out there. How much gaping do you guys think will be involved in securing a copy of it? Is this going to be a “blink and you miss it” Mondo release or something a bit broader? I don’t Mondo it up too much, forgive my ignorance. Anyone who can keep me in the loop would be greatly appreciated. [edit] Whoops! So besides from taking the new ECW route. NXT should just become it’s own thing, the 3rd brand. There’s so many guys from the main roster as well who are in need of some tv time who could be put into NXT. They really need to look at the bigger picture of guys who could really use a gimmick change or haven’t been a success on the main roster, let them reinvent themselves down in NXT. People like Bobby Roode, Tyler Breeze and Sanity could really benefit from taking the step back.

I think they will probably do something again eventually. They said they have more music, and there was already a LA date announced for the summer. Hopefully they make it back east.

It seems to fluctuate. Spring 2018 was 8.10 shipping, Summer 2018 was 5.20, Fall 2018 was 5.20, Winter 2018 was 6.29, and now Spring 2019 was 8.99. Converted to USD I suppose that's almost doubled from 5.20 to 8.99 ($5.84-10.10). Meh, I don't consider $10 too pricey for a record shipped from across the ocean.

It's causing some delays for people who've ordered the /150 and the /350 variants as we've paused shipping either to ensure we have the correct quantities going to the correct customers. Some mislabeled boxes from the manufacturer that we discovered after shipping several dozen copies are to blame here. If you are one of these people, we will be in touch shortly about it via email. Basically the same boat. A, B, and D are flawless after careful inspection. (I went with the clear, too.) Already dropped Holy Roar a line... partly to see what can be done about a replacement, if at all, but mostly to plead that they stop shipping product like this. Tried to keep it extremely polite while also making it clear that it's a wide scale problem, and not just a finicky collector's gripe. I was part of their subscription service for a while and they were incredibly good / thoughtful / pleasant about answering any questions I had or fulfilling requests. Fingers crossed that their questionable shipping methods will quickly become a thing of the past.

It needs to be asked: are you partially employed by SRC or something? It’s like clockwork. Is there any reason you consistently post their links instead of non-shitty webstores like Bull Moose, for example? I don’t count myself as a TBS fan, but did a cursory look over at BM and found Louder Now for $18 and change. Free shipping over $30. Won’t charge until shipped. Won’t play games or hold your funds hostage if you need to cancel. Issues reward points. Why wouldn’t you support them? Knock off the SRC shilling – you’re making me associate disgust with Workaholics and I don’t need that.
