As grateful as I am for this, a tiny part of me almost wishes you hadn't said anything since a lot of promo codes tend to be song titles or album titles in all caps, without spaces. Since the album title seemed a little obvious, and there weren't too many song titles to test, I was going to start at the top tomorrow morning and try my luck. I imagine I would've just about shat myself if my first attempt granted me access. I don't know if I'll ever be able to fully forgive you for robbing me of that opportunity. (But really. Thank you.)

I'm really hoping that they announce an LA show between Oakland and Denver shows. It would be really silly of them not to do a headline show here considering they sold out 2 nights in LA during the first reunion tour.

Prime 4 announcement was great. I've held off on buying a 3DS for so long even though I've always wanted one. Today with that Metroid 2 remake or whatever it should be called, I am going to finally pull the trigger. Screw the Switch (well not really, just for now). I'd rather buy a 3DS for much cheaper and experience a rich library of games for a fraction of the price. Been dying to replay Zelda games from my childhood and tons more on the virtual console. But if Nintendo proved anything today it is that the Switch is here to stay so I'll pick one up at some point next year--perhaps once we get a release date for the Pokemon game?

The world would be boring if everyone enjoyed the same shit, but please stop for 3 seconds and consider what you're writing before you post it. If games like SotC and TLOU were truly overrated, why are people collectively frothing at the mouth over trailers for sequels and remakes? Why are the general reviews through the roof? It would do you well to accept that you maybe don't personally "get" a specific game or company's style, but using blanket terms like "overrated" isn't getting you anywhere. "I never got the hype behind SotC" sounds a lot more intelligent and less dismissive than "fuck Team ICO they've always been overrrated as shit", no? I've never played a Lego game in my life and have no intention to, but I'm fine with accepting that they're not for me if everyone else wants to (actually) shit bricks over them. That being said, I personally don't go ham on gaming like I did in my teens, so the sparse selection of E3 reveals (so far?) hasn't really phased me, personally. Destiny 2 is probably the nearest release I'm excited for. Isn't that FF7 remake supposed to happen this year, too? Or is that so overrated that everyone stopped caring by now? Would love to see more on Death Stranding, but I suppose that it and KH3 will be showcased in the Japanese expo – the name eludes me – that happens next month. Another bit of TLOU2 teasing would've been welcomed too, but hopefully they've got their nose to the grindstone on the game instead of trailers for it.

Watched the Sony event at a movie theater last night and it was mostly underwhelming. The PlayLink stuff looked cool (I love playing the Jackbox games with friends so this is right up my alley) and Hidden Agenda has a lot of potential, but there wasn't a whole lot else that was really surprising. Spider-Man was the best part, though. Reminds me a lot of Arkham-style gameplay with some Uncharted visuals mixed in.

This has been the worst E3 I can remember. It's essentially just a rehash of last year.

Actually looks like that Baroness album received another repress. Up to 9, now. While that electric blue (/350) may be my favorite, there's a rarer Orange Krush (/200) up at Relapse right now, $21.99 vs. $34.99. After fees and shipping it's about $30 PPD. No idea where Newbury gets their price points.

I'm glad you're digging it. And I would give a Dead Roots Stirring another chance soon. Some of my favorite albums now are ones I wasn't ready for the first time I tried to listen. Lore is the most like Reflections... of all the other albums so if you're digging this one a lot Lore is the next logical step. And maybe DRS might tickle your fancy eventually.

Loving my A/B color, C/D is way more teal. Hopefully able to spin tonight and add some sound notes. Initial opinion, super thin vinyl. Comes in at 130g. Wobble Me, Please. Sounds very nice. Vocals jump off, fairly deep bass, may be cut a bit hot. I feel better than an average pressing.
