  3. Wow, these guys have pretty much found the most convenient and cost-effective way to discover new music - a $30 vinyl record with ten songs from various randos

  4. This is minor, but I hate being told that buying someone's thing is a no-brainer. Also 'curated' has sufficiently become synonymous with trash in my mind. Anyway, no. As someone who has never been part of any monthly record club (so grain of salt I guess) I have actively considered a LOT of different deals from several places, but this was the easiest pass I ever handed down. People give out label sampler cd's FO FREE and people don't listen to them, I do sometimes but it's never something where I thought it was a really well-thought out mix and someone should press it. It is often a random, incohesive mash of various genres. Again this is an example very similar to VNYL where you're trusting someone else to do things like 'curate' and create a 'flow' and it's just a waste of money when you could just trust yourself and buy an album you like.

  5. Yes, you should be butthurt that you have to pay for infrastructure like roads, fire stations, and unimportant things like education, medicaid, and veteran's benefits. At least you can be happy that you are also paying for Dump's weekly trips to Mar a lago.

  6. Man. I am just here to tell OP thanks for posting. Everybody needs to chill. If you don't like it, don't comment. OP was just trying to spread something he enjoys to others who share the same interests. Put your pitchforks away....

  10. You know the news is about things that are happening and affect people...right? Also, all the profits from this band are donated to charity.... One second grindcore songs are dope as fuck.

  11. They go up at 1PM MST. Here are the links North America: http://bravewave.fangamer.com/products/sonic-adventure-official-soundtrack-signed-limited-edition-box-set Europe: https://www.bigwax.fr/en/brave-wave/music/sega-is-the-publisher-of-the-sonic-adventure-series. It looks like Big Wax has 100 copies so hopefully that means the remaining 200 will be on Fan Gamer. You can also get them individually.

  13. It's hard for me to explain how cool this is without your credit card number on file. Once you hand that over, you will totally get it (the subscription).

  17. Two weeks ago i got a mail from PayPal with a tracking number. After two weeks it still says " Pre-Shipment, USPS awaiting item". Sent an e-mail to riot style but no reply so far. Did get my 80th spam e-mail from them saying they are selling the drips album and that they are almost gone and i should move fast and buy it!!!!. I did. In June.

  21. Well I did my due diligence. I looked around at the site, I see a couple names I recognize, Richard Houghten, The Dig, a few others. I heard through a handful of tracks on a couple different albums, and yes, even though each one shakily touches on the 'theme', (putting curved synths in your song doesn't really count as 'space') this does not stop the sudden tone changes and the general crappiness of the music - no matter how many times you say 'curated' or point at the die-cut reflective hologram jackets, 90% of these songs sound like generic groove 'chill beats', because 90% of these 'up and comers' are just guys and girls with access to Ableton who can sometimes play guitar. You can guarantee no one album contains all songs you like, unless you're very easily pleased by any music whatsoever. Even when I can get into something - on Nightshining that first track by Kan Wakan is almost freak-folky - it's almost immediately followed up by some trite teenage R&B garbage with another and another breathy vocalist or some 'deep' electronic somethings. I randomly tried #14, From The Window, which has a description that tells me some shit about how stuff happens in the home and there's two sides to every story or something, nothing nothing nothing about the music, and I got tricked into listening to Mallrat, which was the worst garbage I've had to hear since my friend started listening to ignorant trap music. The themes and the cool vinyl colors and innovative jacket design and 'art pieces' count for zero if the music is bad, and I know if I even spent ten dollars I would have regarded it as a loss and a waste. It absolutely IS comparable to VNYL - in it's early stages, anyway, where strangers picked stuff that sounded like X and mailed it to you and it was up to you to decide if it's worth twenty something a month to get something that kinda sorta sounds like X but it might be wildly bad and you don't like it, and you put it in the shelf and feel ripped off. But, that's just, like, my opinion, man. If you enjoy this than all the more power to you. Just kinda speaking my mind here.

  24. Growing up on li/NYC, I saw, this band so many times. From early days with kiss kiss ep on shows with silent majority, indecision, box, milhouse, kill your idols, inside to scoring the opening slot of leg 1 on white pony tour when eyewtks came out to snocore with sparta. I always valued that they were different than most bands they played with. Daryl vocal styling always reminded me if Mike Patton or HR fronted a band on discord. With that said and my changing musical tastes in the last 20 years since I cherished this band, this album is beyond forgettable. Listened twice and struggled to finish it both times

  25. The campaign is barely worth 5 bucks, imo (BF2). The multiplayer is good except for the lag, horrific progression system, pay2win, and huge number of AFKers in every single match just farming credits. I own the game and it's a strong Do Not Buy til something (anything) gets sufficiently fixed.

  27. Beat me to it. For anyone not in the know – or looking for the first 12" for dirt cheap – Halo 2 clearly miscalculated the hype and aftermarket value for Arcade Fire in 2017. Dumb shit. That's the stuff you love to see, really, since these were probably close to $20 a pop.

  30. Underground extreme metal trio MAMMOTH GRINDER return after five long years with their fourth full-length Cosmic Crypt, a non-stop, meteoric force of aggression and mayhem. Self-recorded by the band at Trax East in South River, NJ, mixed by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Sepultura, Inquisition) and mastered by Toxic Holocaust’s Joel Grind, Cosmic Crypt is an 11 track slab of primitive, punk-inflected death metal. Frontman Chris Ulsh (Power Trip, Impalers) recruited Mark Bronzino (Iron Reagan) and Ryan Parrish (Iron Reagan, ex-Darkest Hour) to take MAMMOTH GRINDER to new heights of misanthropic rage and blazing songcraft! Features stunning cover art from the legendary Joe Petagno (Motorhead, Autopsy, Angelcorpse, Pink Floyd). Get some: https://store.relapse.com/item/54384

  31. Most records on DF that actually had all the pressing info (mostly pop punky emo stuff) has it listed on discogs on the info page anyways. I'm pretty sure Discogs has a lot more info including pressing numbers and pictures than DF ever had. Example: https://www.discogs.com/Touché-Amoré-To-The-Beat-Of-A-Dead-Horse/master/299960

  33. I don't give a shit what my list of records looks like visually cuz I can see em from right here on the shelf so I just use discogs. Even then I only have like part of letters A-G because I'm lazy. One day. Maybe.

  34. Huh. I like having all the info right there without really having to enter it. To each their own! Documented on discogs and via photo. I'm still working on taking individual photos of each album, but I've got a full shot at least showing that the number of records I have listed looks accurate. I've been documenting the actual records themselves on instagram (been slacking the last couple months though.
