If they were someone's favorite band when all they had out was the self-titled, I'll give that person major props for foresight. Haha. Otherwise, every single album and EP since then has been a pretty tempting invitation to get aboard the old bandwagon, IMO.

Ah okay. Yeah, there are producers who I'm slanted against that made good records, the only way to really compare is to see if they've produced similar records in the past. Luckily he did Pale Horses, so y'all have nothing to worry about. That album sounded fantastic.

Theyre doing all this bullshit to essentially stop hemorrhaging cash until it's 3 a month for all the monthly subscibers. Granted, 9/15 could come around and nothing changes. I think people groan when they see Yip's name because he has ~a sound~ associated with him. I think that's fair to a degree, but overall he does pretty clean work and even if this turns out to be mwY's "Will Yip Record" so what? At this point, every mwY record is so different that the discography only feels healthier with more diverse albums.

SUPPOSEDLY this shit will stop happening by 9/15. Supposedly. I'm pissed. I managed to get tickets to The Meg on Saturday and then had an emergency come up and I couldn't go. I happened to be right next to the mall, saw the showing I wanted to go to (4 hours later) pop up so I bolted over and grabbed it. Come 4 hours later and I couldn't go. So now I can't see it using MP at all, no matter how things shape up with them. Next time I have free time to see a movie I'm gonna head to the theater with my unripped ticket stub and see if a manager will take pity on me.

I think we aren't quite there yet. I dont think that record ever got pressed.

Product page updated on Rough Trade to say it's "housed in a limited edition mirri-board sleeve". Not sure if that's exclusive to their version or their version + the clear copies. I don't see anything on Carpark about that aspect so maybe it's just RT.

Man, what a shitshow. I checked out their IG page and the comments are sad, and nearly borderline pathetic. I'm glad I held off ordering this but I still really want it, I'm hoping the band can somehow take over the remaining inventory and get them sent out through a distro or something soon

I feel for them and love burning all my bridges myself, but my burdens are mine and I wouldn't heap them on others like this.

Band response: We've heard from one too many people now about getting stiffed from The Mylene Sheath on their "The Four Trees" 2XLP repress. Customers paying but never getting their orders, spotty responses or no response at all from them on order status... it is so unbelievably frustrating to watch a record label shortchange some of your fans who throw down their hard earned money on a record only to receive no response whatsoever or equally as bad, half assed excuses. If you are one of the folks out there who did finally receive your order, please recognize that there are folks out there who still haven't. We hear from them all the time, and we've had enough. We aren't the type to air our dirty laundry in public and never really have but it's become increasingly clear that this reflects poorly on our band. That is not acceptable. We have done our best to serve our fans with the dignity and respect they deserve for 14 years and actually feel more than decent about how we have operated on that front. While we figure out how to proceed, please accept our apology. We are not responsible for pressing records, shipping them, keeping customers apprised on the status, etc., but we HAVE become increasingly sensitive to people throwing out excuses and we very genuinely hope that the above doesn't like one. Same here, I found it to be a pretty interesting track that may grow on me. So Far Under is awesome.

I couldn't even finish "Never Fade." "So Far Under" was awesome and the chorus of "The One You Know" just about ruins the song for me which is actually built on a totally killer verse and verse riff/groove. The singles so far aren't making me very confident in this album.

Old news, but it's still tough for me to see past that cover. Marilyn Manson really let himself go.

That single is cringy at best, woof to that song. Everything from the lyrics to the music is bland and repetitive. If that's the lead single I don't have much hope for this album.

What I meant was that they weren't catering to people who just want to hear recent hits and went deeper into their catalog. But please continue being bitter fucks ITT it's amusing me
