I see what both of you are saying. I just think a lot of people buy records because of what you get from it. Sound quality aside, you get the artwork blown up to ~12"x12". Gatefolds, inserts, and usually a download card or CD. Vinyl has a lot of perks if you buy new music. Represses are great, but I mainly buy new releases. Call TSSF mediocre if you wish, but I actually think they're a lot different than most of the current pop-punk bands. Way more aggressive.

It sounds like you still don't have things set up properly. Google "hooking up speakers to receiver" and look at pictures of how it should be wired. I don't mean to be rude but this should be extremely simple.

there should be metal pieces that connect the black/black and red/red terminals on those speakers. put them back in, if you still have them. otherwise, cut a piece of your speaker cable to make a new one.

I saw them for the Glamour Kills Tour and I agree with you, but I believe they had a back-up guitarist and drummer filling in for them (not sure about the bassist). So that was probably part of their lack of stage presence You guys mention very good points but I think one of the main reasons buying records has gotten popular again is because of the downfall of CD's. Everyone used to want CD's so they could play them in the car and whatnot... but ever since all these cars have been made with aux jacks instead (or you can buy adapters if you have an old car.. or buy an afterstock headunit), there really isn't a good reason to buy a CD anymore. So if you want a hard copy, vinyl is the way to go. But yeah it's definitely a trend and will probably fade out a little bit, but not to the point where plants need to close. I also buy vinyl for bands I want to support b/c of the download cards as well. Plus having a hard copy and watching it spin is always cool, even if you have a Crosley. (I dont.. I'm an audiophile.. but just sayin')
