Yeah I'm 100% sure they were TOTALLY involved with the low-key skype relationship Jesse had with a minor. I'm sure he talked about it all the time to his bandmates, how he jerked off on camera for a 15 year old. Shut the fuck up man.4 points -

I'm fully aware this photo is garbage but this was worth schlepping down to Banquet Records to pick up today They tend to sell a handful of signed albums after gigs promoted by them happen (she played an in-store yesterday but I couldn't make it) and I was expecting black, *maybe* clear if I was lucky. But nope, tour purple! It's actually more of a fuchsia color, especially when held up to light. Very pretty and complements the album art well.3 points -

Whoa now. That's a real slippery slope you're treading, pal. "You" as an adult man can not encourage them to send you nude photos and not ask them to watch you jerk it, though. The only even halfway reasonable excuse that I can imagine is that this specific young lady looked old enough to pass for 18 and lied about her age, anything beyond that is completely unacceptable. I'll give anyone accused of something the benefit of the doubt, but since didn't deny it in his statement, and made an apology to numerous women, I accept that this is probably true.3 points -
And I need to grow up? Do you ever look back at the things you post and just think to yourself “God I’m such a depressing asshole.” Im glad it’s that easy to get you riled up though.2 points

A mostly minor irrelevant technicality in the grand scheme of things, but Jesse Lacey is not Brand New, he is IN Brand New. The band, Brand New, did not engage in acts of sexual misconduct. Jesse Lacey did.2 points -

redroom reacted to giveitaname for a topic
Just got my copies in. Thanks Piky0032!!! Checked for differences and there are some. Colors on the sleeves are slightly lighter (The letters "The Bronx" written in blood on Bronx I are much more red) Original Bronx II is more off white/creamy white. New version is brighter white. Wanted to post a picture of the differences between the new and original Bronx I but for some reason i can't seem to figure where that option is. New version is black with white that turned into grey marble. Original is purple/grey marble. I'll probably post the differences on my instagram later on. (or someone has a solution to post it here?)1 point -
Try and present that excuse in front of a judge in the United States judicial system and you'll be laughed out of the room straight into your jail cell as a registered sex offender. Even more so if there are other stories that we don't know about from his past which he has alluded to and there are countless other rumors floating around. A child in the US is still considered from age 0 -17. He was a legal adult. The definition of pedophilia is pretty clear in a court room and is pretty obviously used among society as meaning anyone that preys on a child regardless of their attributes. Premeditated actions and manipulation also were at play here. Really sounds like you're trying to justify his actions and the situation as passable which I hope is not the case and you just poorly worded your post. Bottom line is the guy is a shit bag. I wont support him with money but I will most likely continue to listen to their music in the future. I agree that the 'public judge and jury outrage machine' is dangerous but that's how society functions.1 point

http://www.runforcoverrecords.com/products/604363-field-medic-songs-from-the-sunroom Field Medic is the lo-fi folk project of Kevin Patrick. His first release on Run For Cover Records, Songs From the Sunroom, compiles material he’s recorded and released over two years from a small sunroom in San Francisco which doubled as his bedroom. At eighteen, Patrick discovered the music of Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, who changed his perspective on what a song could be and led to him developing his own style which he describes as “freak folk/post country with an emphasis on finger style guitar and lyrics.” Patrick initially embraced lo-fi because he felt that his home recordings were a truer method of expressing what he was creating than anything he could do in a studio. Drawing inspiration from new wave and rap, Patrick pushed the boundaries of what a folk song could be, incorporating new elements in each subsequent release from analogue drum machines to Casio keyboards to banjo. The immediacy of that recording process and the freedom of experimentation inherent within are central to Field Medic’s character, extending through his music to his freestyle, improvised mixtapes and his poetry. The tracks on Songs From the Sunroom were recorded during a heightened creative period and released as an almost non-stop flurry of EPs, albums, and singles, all of which have been shared via Bandcamp since 2014. As Field Medic, Patrick has released every song he has ever recorded, a conscious decision summed up in his philosophy that “all expression is valid”. “I don’t believe in perfection, I learned that perfect wasn’t real” he explains, continuing “To me [the tracks on SFtS] aren’t demos, they’re the finished songs because no one was waiting on any other versions, so why would I?”1 point

Well I guess I'll probably never get to see Brand New again. All human beings are shitty, I don't doubt for a second everyone on here has done some regrettable shit, I have for sure, but in reality this isn't that scandalous in this day and age. Over at r/Brand New there are some interesting threads about how this kind of stuff happens between underage girls and dudes who are in their 20's in bands. I've seen it first hand and I honestly don't think we are even beginning to scratch the surface of a much larger problem. We can't blame the underage girls but we were all teenagers before so we know what its like wantng to grow up quickly and be mature. You can't tell them what to do, they will do whatever the fuck they want. We can surely and easily blame the men for being irresponsible adults and taking advantage because that's what they are doing, and it ultimately is wrong on them, but it's too easy for a young naive teenager to put themselves in a situation that they think they want but they don't fully understand the consequences of. Like I said not even scratching the surface, but I think this is the real conversation that needs to happen1 point -
