How is that not a reasonable answer? It's a perfect comparison. Yes, 99% of the time the label owns the rights to the record and has complete control over it. That doesn't make it right. In my experience, the point of reissues is to have music you love, from a band you love, on a format you love. If you really love the band and the album, wouldn't you want to have some contact with the band instead of just going behind their back and doing it? It is their art regardless of who "owns" it and I would reckon most artists would like to have some input on how their art is represented. The only reason you'd not try and get in touch with the band is because you simply don't care and are just reissuing the album because you know it'll sell copies, which is exactly what SRC is doing. So yes, it is fucking shady. It's essentially an authorized bootleg. It's amazing that it's such a non issue for most of you guys.

I don't want anyone to think that I'm taking sides here, although it probably looks that way. Just figured that being I have the resources/ability to at least get SOME clarification from members regarding the entire situation, I should go ahead and do it. I'm presenting whats been given to me and going on that. Nothing I've said is bullshit, I didn't mock anything, I didn't retype words, etc. All I wanted to do was cancel one color, being that I ordered the other, and buy SRC's pressing which - on paper - looks like it's gonna be great. No refund? That's fine. I'll still pick it up and save one for another member here. I'm just not a huge fan of them insulting people just for asking for a refund, and insinuating that people aren't true fans because of it. Whatever, that's their prerogative. We do know this: SRC was granted rights earlier this summer. According to Peter, they (Handsome) were aware of this. 6131 are massive fans of the record, and they too put in a request for the rights. According to Peter, 6131 was unsure if they were going to release it after finding this out.. but they ended up getting the license as well and announced theirs in July. SRC announced theirs after getting all details together yesterday. The vinyl community then ended up turning itself into one giant butthole.

There is a heat wave in the Midwest, I work outside & today had to be similar to what Hell will be like. The sun was literally painful. I love the weather...when I can enjoy it at a beach or water park. To be tortured with it while you're being a regular guy working loser isn't cool. Maybe more of you should head into the Handsome thread and weigh in on the dueling reissues that SRC never spoke to the band about.

On Instagram yesterday 6131 posted a text message from someone calling the SRC Handsome reissue a bootleg. 6131 only sent out about half of their 2011 subscription and ripped a bunch of people off, so they can go fuck themselves. I guess what I'm getting at is that 6131 can complain all they want, they're just as shady.

Just for the record, shady does not automatically equal illegal. Shady - of questionable taste or morality; lacking respectability in character or behavior or appearance. Sounds pretty accurate to me.

I had been listening to Drive digitally for a long time before Mondo even came out with their vinyl release, so really there weren't any surprises to be had. I thought it was great then and Mondo just packaged it up nicely with a couple Stouts I think this OST is also just as important to this movie as say the horror movie point you're trying to make. Then again I'm a huge Drive fluffer so my opinion is biased but I firmly believe that this OST played a huge huge role in this movie's overall success.

Just got myself a very good condition Perfect Dark for N64 in the box still. Playing and loving it so far.

Check out Monoliths, I'll think you'll like it. That album and The Grimmrobe Demos are my two favorite releases by the band. If I recall right, their whole discography is streaming on their bandcamp. There's quite a bit to dig through.

What better opportunity to fake your death than when your house catches on fire? After he fakes his death, his "confession" will be uncovered somehow (if you're seeing this, I'm probably dead, Hank killed me, yadda yadda) and everyone will think Hank burned down Walt's house as retaliation for him refusing to cook. Walt's confession tape will seem even more plausible. I don't know, that's what I think.

I just feel like being intolerent of intorlent people is sort of hypocritical. Saying I can't stand for people who don't allign with the view on topics I have is NO different than a christian (which no christian on here has outward hate for gays or woman to my knowledge) saying they don't allign with your views. Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me is all. I realize this will probably blow up in my face it just bugs me when people talk about how tolerent they are but aren't tolerent for a group of people for whatever reason doesn't seem to add up is all. Argyle Park - Misguided (only pressing was 3 acetates) Blindside - Self-titled - glow in the dark pressing (might not be real) Luti-Kriss / Travail - Split 7" (might not be real) Eso-Charis - Setting Roots for the Winter Teargas & Plateglass - A Uniquely Hostile Place (might not be real) UPDATED: Turns out Eso-Charis isn't so much a white whale, the black/blue pressing might be, but that's it. I'm not actually sure the Blindside or Luti-Kriss pressings exist. The Teargas and Plateglass single probably has a test pressing from talking to the "band"/label, but they weren't direct in their response. There has not been any publicly available release anyway. I have a lead on one of the Argyle Park pressings, not 100% sure they're acetates now, thinking they're probably test pressings.
