  1. I'm FINALLY FUCKING FREE of the worst job ever. Worked here 6.5 years for a dickhead rich white photographer who treats everyone like pure shit. Today is my last day & I'm not officially my own boss. I recently started a custom guitar effects company and I'm ready to finally be happy. That is all.

  2. That's me. Real negative. I hate the world. But for real, first teenagerric was the worst, then came along Zay Zay but you top both of them. You try real hard for attention and make stupid ass threads all the time. I'm probably saying what everyone is thinking. Sorry I'm not sorry

  19. I understand and mean no disrespect in my response nor was I trying to mislead anyone but below are the reasons 1) no artwork was ever created since these ep's were previously only available for free as a download 2) The band wanted it done this way to stick with the theme of "the basement tapes" 3) The pressing was ONLY 300 copies and as you are likely aware, vinyl pricing is very dependent on the amount of copies pressed to dictate the cost 4) We almost ALWAYS show the artwork which is included in the packaging and/or mention if the release comes with lyrics in the PO images and no where was any other artwork mentioned other than the center labels 5) In regards to the cost, They are cheaper than any single Lp that we have released in the past 3 years AND comes with a digital download of the album which people often complain about

  23. The idea that Newbury Comics is independent is a little misleading. It's like calling Boston Beer Company a "craft brewery." Sure, technically they are, but the difference between the little guys and them is almost as large as between them and the big boys. That isn't to say Newbury Comics (or Boston Beer Company, for that matter) doesn't do a lot to help the industry and that their success doesn't trickle down to smaller players, but when I walk into one of the high-rent Newbury Comics mall locations full of clothing, shoes and Hunger Games merchandise I'm sure not thinking I'm helping a struggling mom and pop record store.

  33. I don't think complaining on an internet message board changes much. However. Shit like this is potentially bad for a large portion of people that use this site. If you have been around and listening to records for a while, you might recall the reason many of us got into this - we enjoy the music, it allows us to physically connect to a medium that is becoming more and more digitized, and maybe we enjoy the sound/nostalgia of notes coming from a piece of plastic that we pretend sounds better than any other form of music. But when labels/stores think they can charge $35 for something that is worth $15 and get away with it - because it will sell out/people will buy it/'we gotta keep the doors open! - it starts to (economically) become a huge problem for a portion of us. Because soon, I know this might sound crazy, but other labels and stores will think "hey that one store sold it and sold out" why shouldn't I? And what became something a lot of us started doing because it was cost-effective has driven us out by a hobby mentality. So you might think it'd be a 'stupid reason' to sell a product will sell out for a cheaper price, but some people out there don't think that way. We tend to have a slightly more positive spin on things and think that taking advantage of customers might not be the best thing in the world. TL;DR - I like listening to my records and would prefer they stay in a price range I can afford.

  37. Speaking of the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame (and to take the conversation in a slightly new direction, since I think we've exhausted the current conversation) --- does anyone else think that it's pretty bullshit about Chad Channing not getting inducted? I mean, I agree, the Hall of Fame is stupid, but stupid as it is, the decision to exclude him seems particularly cruel and disrespectful.

  43. Got this today, took a GOOD look and didn't notice this at all. Not even going to check to see if you're right because: 1) I don't care 2) If I didn't notice it upon my initial look it's probably not relevant enough to give a shit 3) Parts of the cover are glossy, some parts are flat, just like the original CD, and I am totally stoked to see that kind of detail. The splatter on the record itself looks great as well. 4) Want to see a pixelated cover that you might actually have some grounds to complain? Go check out HT's first re-release of Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance. I own it and the pixelated image sucks, but who cares, I'm spinning wax of a record I love that I didn't own before for $20. Do not have the original, but I have the 2nd pressing from HT and didn't even notice a difference. Honestly Travis, you're a dear to respond to these people complaining, but really I think the effort is useless as they are out of their freakin' minds. You can thank liberals for that! EVERYONE, no matter how insignifigant, has a right to complain and be heard! But honestly, the issue is more the "anonymity" of most of these complaining assholes. Nobody knows who they are, nobody will ever know, so they feel like they can just "like" a facebook page to make a statement, or mouth off wherever to anybody who will let them because they spent $25 (which is 3+ hours of mind-numbing work at the local burger joint) without having to be accountable for the shit they post. Amazing progressive society we live in these days...
