I have never had an issue, but I also avoid shipping to places like Russia, Italy, and a few other locations that have notoriously bad postal systems.

2 of my 6 boxes of records arrived already. They are 60lbs a piece and managed to get from Portland on Friday morning to Richmond Monday afternoon. That's nuts. I have never had a record go that far that fast before. 4 more boxes to go. Ironically Caspian got here first which I'm all for.

It's not different mastering. Those were pressed from the same metal parts as the standard release (which is way friggin' expensive too!). I know because I've owned multiple copies of both. Same exact matrix info all the way down to the handwriting and font size. While we're wishing upon a star, I'd like to see their entire catalogue get a 45rpm audiophile treatment from a reissue group like Analogue Productions. Maybe mastered by Kevin Grey. That would be the holy grail of wax!

This is a fine. It's not like you're selling bootlegs or anything (especially if two people are exchanging tapes directly and each covers the shipping cost or whatever). More importantly I can't imagine anyone would be facing any type of legal backlash for dubbing a mixtape in 2015/6. $40, if you want to make a thread on the sales board directing people here I don't have a problem with it. Preferably we'd like to keep the general banter about tapes on this board but if you think it'd get more folks involved do it up.

Definitely getting it... But not releasing until next month is dumb, considering this time of year is the only time I'd actually play it. Red/green translucent vinyl sounds more appealing than "cheese pizza," IMO. Hope they get around to Home Alone 2, I love that soundtrack also.
