This is one of the most overly dramatic threads I've seen on this board - and that's saying something.

Look dude, you didn't do anything wrong. People here go out of their way to give new users a hard time just for the sake of it, and it's always the same guys so don't take it personal. Lurk for a couple weeks to get a hang of the 'attitude' around here before e making threads. I welcome all newjacks with open arms, especially since these new collectors actually want to talk about records.

I completely understand how frustrating it can be when you're under the belief that you're going to receive the records you've purchased and then you dont, however, you've gotten closure now. You know you aren't going to get these LP's, so instead of continually bitching about it, be proactive and call your credit card company/bank and put in a claim & try to get your money back Simple as that.

I really don't want to get beat up by your or anyone else for that matter. I got beat up 2 years ago during my freshman year and walking around in a cast for 12 weeks was an embarressment as it was a constant reminder of what happened. I am sorry. Don't gift payments guys. Even if you think you trust someone don't be a cheap ass; plop fees on top. Less than sales tax, and an ounce of prevention is always worth a pound of cure. There's an admin thread about it, it's always worth it.

Anyone who purchased from him out of the last 2 threads who receives a record just say I received it in the next week! If not a single person does then something is wrong with that. If he refunds all the money even the gifted payments then he means well. If he doesn't then he is a liar fair and square. Why doesn't he just refund and not make us all dispute the payments? That makes no sense.

thanks so much! it looks kind of random in this picture, but that's because i just ditched the computer that was sitting in the left corner under the Queers poster, with the monitor directly to its right. the turntable was totally on the other side basically under the boxing glove (which is an homage to the cover art of one of the releases i put out last year), so the posters fit PERFECTLY with everything that was beneath them. here's what it looked like originally: if you notice, each poster within an individual column is the same width as every other poster in that column. that made the side-to-side growth easier and more uniformed as i got more posters. i recently had to add the 4x4 unit, so now i can hang a few of the bigger (18 x 24, etc) posters above that and not have to worry about matching sizes because one poster will complete a column above that expedit. as long as you have a plan in place before you start hanging things, you can make it look pretty awesome pretty easily.

If you actually took some time to look at the threads on this site you would have known that pretty much no one here is going to be able to answer your question. If you have a question about Blink 182, recently re-released soundtracks that no one really listens to, or how many variants exist of the new Deafheaven lp, then you would have hit the jackpot. You seem to know a lot about this record, so I don't know if this was a way to generate an ebay sale or not? People here get easily annoyed when someone just pops in with a "How much is this worth?" question without even looking at the content of the site. And yes, people do collect insults here. Sometimes funny, sometimes not so much. Good luck in your search.

The people who keep saying that we jumped to conclusions aren't looking at the big picture here. The time frame this took place over in itself is not suspicious. Even the no communication is not suspicious. But both those mixed with the deleted sales thread then bullahit tracking numbers is very suspicious. Have you guys ever done a deal on Craigslist then call the number only have it to be disconnected? That's in line with him deleting the threads. Also he has since deleted his discogs and other accounts. And was planning a trip out of the country in 2 months. Hence I am concluding the reasoning behind trying the scam. Also if not a single person gets the record he was supposedly selling, Then that shows he never intended to send them at all. All these signs point to someone who is about to rip people off. This thread is about being proactive and not letting it happen. Not waiting for it to happen then cry about it. I don't need for to happen for me to know it's GOING to happen. This thread and the help of the PI who directly contacted him and located him may have directly saved this community money. It's only for the Internlesr of the users here.

Pressing plants don't actually tell you WHY they're fucking you. They just say "LOLOLOLOL you already paid us at least 75% of the pressing costs, so just wait it out." We only sort of knew about the Beatles messing everything up, I doubt someone emailed Deathwish to specifically say so. That being said, it's just not cool for labels to do preorders anymore. Those days are gone and there needs to be a better model about gauging consumer response, ordering appropriate quantities and then - in turn - getting the item out in a timely manner. I have sold records to people on here and not communicated with them about it for 4 days before. Nobody thinks that you made this all up, and yes, other people chiming in does add some validity to what you're saying, but none of them have been out of the loop with Homework for what, more than a week? Why not post the messages where they have admitted to the scam? It is in everyone's best interest.
