Good eye. I tag the home city of the artist I’m displaying. It’s an added layer of fun for me to see where they all come from. I also notice a lot of trends with LA, Chicago, UK and Texas for those interested @the_analog_ear2 points

Denzel's highly-anticipated third album TA13OO will be released in three acts. The first act, Light, will be released July 25th, followed by Gray on July 26th and Dark on July 27th. Each previously-released single represents one of the album's acts, as "Sumo" represents Light, "Clout Cobain" represents Gray, and "Percs" represents Dark, which come together cohesively to form TA13OO. Across the three sections of TA13OO, Denzel explores topics including molestation, the presidential election, fame, hatred, paranoia, revenge, love, the current state of music and personal tales of his own near death experiences. Sonically, the album ranges just as widely as its subject matter, sounds of paranoia, fear of loss, brooding melancholy and mood swings straight from hell all find their way onto TA13OO, making this Denzel's most groundbreaking musical performance to date. Deluxe bundle Limited edition picture disc Standard edition Ships around September 21st.1 point

I figure we had some big threads for most of the King Gizzard releases last year and with the imminent release of reissues of the first 3 albums a actual flightless thread should be started. Looks like the following will be available.1 point -

I'm really stoked for it. Super jealous I didn't get to meet Murray though. A little sad I've never run into Jarmusch down there (I'm a little further upstate) but I know a bunch of people who have. None of them have approached him....because yeah, I wouldn't approach Jim Jarmusch.1 point -

I really don't understand why you would go through the trouble of releasing a live record with only 4 of the songs from the show. It just seems like a waste of vinyl and a waste of money. I love Nick Cave, but easy pass.1 point -

I really disliked Calibre. Just didn't do anything for me. Doesn't earn it's slowburn pace and the pay off is "meh" I really liked the First Purge though. I've still never seen the original, but all of the sequels have been a lot of fun. They aren't exactly "good" movies, but they're solid modern B-movie with a strong throwback vibe without feeling like it's trying too hard. They're basically Assault on Precinct 13/Escape from NY Carpenter worship. Their social commentary is about as subtle as a brick to the face, but I'm a Paul Verhoven fan...so... Unrelated: Jim Jarmusch is filming a zombie movie with Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, and a bunch of others in Upstate NY right now. My girlfriend's dad ran into Bill Murray at his golf club.1 point -

Craft beer? Just drink straight liqour in the street. I ate so much amazing food when I was there, but I couldn't tell you were I got like any of it. Because, well...I was drinking straight liqour in the street. They're kinda silly, but the "haunted" walking tours are fun. It's a cool way to see some shit and hear some local history and murder stories.1 point -

We just got approval on the new artwork today and the tests also arrived today so it’s trucking right along nicely. We had to make new artwork because the original was made for CD sand englarged it looked awful. The hi quality scans didn’t look good either so we had to start from scratch.1 point

Although I'm enjoying both of these, the consumer side of me feels like I just got duped into paying $40+ for what should've just been a single 2xLP release. The fact that II's sides are labeled C/D doesn't help assuage those thoughts.1 point -

I think I'm the only one that fux with this mix. They did it this way so you can turn the volume way the fuck up and not have it go from nice crisp sounding to garbage. Just garbage the whole time but great garbage that doesn't distort at max volume. I did enjoy seeing "pixelated" refer to audio though gonna steal that.1 point
