My favorite Ohio anecdote of all time is this: I was driving cross country with my at the time girlfriend, east to west coast. We drove straight through the middle of the country because why the fuck not, right? We're going through West Virginia (gross) and we get to the Ohio border and stop at literally the first place we see to use the bathroom. I walk in the door to this gas station bathroom and the first thing I see, not written huge or angrily - just kind of small and matter of fact, "West Virginia fucking sucks." I've chuckles to myself every time I've thought about that for the last 12 years. "Ohio: at least it's better than WV," will forever be their motto to me.

As expected, the songs just destroyed me. I fuckin' cried as I related to both songs and how McTiernan delivers the lyrics just slayed me. Oof. Since their first release it's been just feels and emotions to a heavy sound. And that's what made me fall in love with hardcore to begin with way back in the day.

Shipping for me is 9.82, so thats pretty much 30 dollars for a single sided 7 inch? I actually love this song and have a huge soft spot for Thursday, but that's a no from me my guy.

Also, now that I have time, I knew these would go in a hurry, and I'm surprised they haven't already announced a new, 2nd round variant. I get why it's annoying, but it's a pita to make a new thread, while on lunch, on my phone. I only bumped the thread to notify the 6 people who would care enough to even be on the boards midday. Between the way IG and FB have just become giant commercials for anything for sale, Reddit, Spotify, email, texts, and all the other shit bigger bands do to promote us giving them money, if you find out here there's too much disconnect from the artist for you to actually have fomo about it. Recoiled is getting reissued for its 10 year anniversary

They ended up scrapping this record and are supposedly going in a heavier direction now. What they had ready for 2024 was essentially Voyeurist 2.0 but more synth-heavy and experimental alongside the poppier elements. I had heard some demos and I'm happy they are going in a different direction. Likely an early 2025 release for this new album while they capitalize on this TOCS 20 year tour through the end of this year. We'll get a song or two by year end.

the whole thing is super off in unpleasant kind of way. Like I feel song supposed sound like a "rough lo-fi/analogue tape demo" but it sounds clean, badly mixed/produced with some stock presets slapped on guitar in a hurry. Based on how he sings text feels like it supposed to be personal and sad. it. But its just stupid and awkward. Video feels like it supposed to be "old found tape" or something. But it looks irritatingly modern and out of place. Anthony looks happy and playfull in the video. But I can't shake the feeling that I watch a guy who will commit suicide in a few weeks. Overall very eerie video\song.

I am not fine with him saying that bullshit, but I did read somewhere his apology. I believe he has grown and moved forward. I just saw them recently and it was beautiful. I still listen to them regularly. Of course, we all have to make up our own minds about apologies we accept or what we can tolerate from an artist even though we disagree. If he was still showing anti-Semitic signs, I'd get rid of all of my records by them.

I was thinking about that recently as well. I last saw them live in 2008 or so and already the vocals were kind of rough. Johnny’s vocals couldn’t really match the highs from the recorded material. Actually all the times that I saw them they didn’t go up that high. Still would love to go to one of these shows though, they were just so ahead of their time.

Sorry to nitpick but I have cancelled USPS labels before and gotten refunded. It's possible. Takes some time but it's easy. Also if they didn't ship it within 4 days and that's against their seller terms, they're also in the wrong. So 4 days as an example can actually be a problem and going against their own word without communication. I don't know their full back and forth. Just playing devil's advocate here. There are a lot of godawful buyers and sellers out there (just look at the ETID thread lol)
