The shadiness angle and communication stuff aside: why should a consumer who doesn't get what they paid for get less than a 100% refund? Honest question.

Can you actually get tracking on standard shipping to Canada? My understanding is that a customs form is not delivery confirmation and in fact is near impossible to use for tracking once the package leaves the US of A. Everyone: take this as a reason to get insurance on high priced packages. Also: whoever is giving you advice is full of shit. Onus is on the seller to deliver the item in the condition it was originally described. If that doesn't happen it is up to you to make it right. I've been on both ends and have never left anyone in the lurch despite it hurting the old wallet.

Seller definitely looks like the shady one here. But now the real question, what record are you dropping that kind if coin on

After having a baby, things change. I was pumped when I found out about Rockabye Baby: a company that does lullaby renditions of popular bands. They've done everything from Kanye West to Elton John to the White Stripes. Unfortunately, the only band I was really pumped about was the Weezer lullaby album. Sparrow and I have listened to it countless times. Then I thought, wait a second, why on earth aren't there lullaby albums featuring songs by bands like Saves the Day, Thrice, Copeland, City and Colour, and other "smaller" (relative to Lady Gaga) bands? So I started making them. And I figured that a couple of parents on here might dig it. http://sparrowsleeps.bandcamp.com I'll be posting another couple of Saves the Day tunes before I move onto another band. Just figured I would share, because that's what people do on these boards.

Yeah honestly with all the lp packages I get (a lot) ive only had 3 issues over the last year with them. Unfortunately they've all been big problems when they do happen. My mail guy is pretty cool and I've never had an issue with him personally. He even knows not to ring the doorbell if its between the hours of 1-3 because he knows that's my kids nap time. He always knocks very lightly during those hours. Seriously that's really awesome that he remembers that.

My oldest preorder currently is from April. So everyone can stop whining (or keep whining and know that it could be worse).

Hmm yeah. Works out like $20 a record, which is pretty standard for us, but it's a lot to drop in one go. I definitely don't have the cash now and they'll probably be gone by late next week. Hopefully they'll be available separately if this does well.

Is it an expensive record? Anything over $40, I would say don't ship unless the buyer pays for registered.

What taylo234 says is very valid. It's not the person being able to hear the difference though it's the quality of the kit that is being connected by these cables, so there is a point where the limit is the equipment not the cables. I'm not familair with the monoprice cables but have seen and used very similar here and at that price would be more than happy with them for what you are doing. Also at that price if you upgrade later you have the chioce to upgrade cables later and you will have lost very little.

I think you're giving the modern vinyl collector far too much credit. Most people even on here have Crosleys. I'm in the same boat as you... but we're the rarity.

3 of the ones that went in the $125~ range were signed and sold by Keith (CYLS) himself, and I think the proceeds may have even went to charity. Also one of those on popsike was the test press they sold, meaning the majority of them sold for $60~. Good luck selling it for $150 though!

Nope...got it for a buck somewhere...I can't remember where exactly I would give my right arm for a pressing of all of the songs from A Muppet Christmas Carol. It is my favorite Christmas movie and probably contains the best Ebenezer Scrooge performance of all time from Michael Caine. When Belle sings that song "The Love Is Gone" and old Scrooge is crying and singing right beside her but he can't actually talk to her...damn...I lose it every time. I fucking love that movie
