  2. I was so disappointed when it turned out that it was the score that was getting pressed (this was a few years ago iirc).

  6. A lot of good artists this year, and I really want the Owen but not a lot of the other ones. Anyone buying it not want their Owen, hit me up! https://www.polyvinylrecords.com/singlesseries/

    The Beer Thread

Finally popped open one of the milk stouts that my buddy and I made at the Corkscrew Winery in Ocala, FL. It's so good. Everything a dark beer, and a milk stout needs to be. Rich, sweet, creamy, filled with coffee and chocolate notes which make it go down smooth.

  9. Damn. Fantastic job @llamaface!

  10. It's on the Deviations set. Which makes more sense. Doing an exact replica of the original Fragile 3XLP set... and then adding Appendage... defeats the purpose of doing an exact replica of the original 3XLP set.

  12. Just got a white label from a seller on discogs for $35. 100% chance that order is getting cancelled.

  13. That Rodney On The Rocks album is awesome.

  14. Yeah. I mean, I'd love to have every Halo on wax, but I understand albums and EPs make more sense. I'm not super optimistic, but I'm hopeful. Not that its necessary, but I wonder what happened to the "hits" package he was gonna do for Interscope.

  15. If you peruse through the Discography section of the website it looks like there are a lot of releases coming down the pipe that make very likely make it to vinyl (I'm speculating from the standpoint of his statement on vinyl and text indicating they are trying to make things available again), from what I read: Prick - S/T Quake Soundtrack Still (less indication here, but considering the very positive write up it's given I'd say it's not unlikely) Other stuff that sounds like it might be repressed to DVD: Closure And All That Could Have Been

  17. He said it's meant to be played loud. I'm hoping for some brutal ass Industrial. like Downward Spiral but heavier and more experimental.

  20. i think he would agree with us more on sound if he upgraded his system. Not saying he has to, certainly not knocking it, but if you think that album doesn't need a re-recording, then i wonder what other hellacious pressings sound pretty good to you.

  21. I got my Nina Simone delivered today. Almost swapped it, but decided to keep it since I just swapped Beck (bought the bong load reissue). Glad I kept Nina. Very happy with this release. I really enjoyed listening to it tonight. I've been very happy with VMP in general.

  22. This might be my favorite Star Wars movie. It was incredible and I can't wait to see it again.

  23. I would personally keep at least one probably all of my "original" pressings since I would enjoy revisiting that classic mix we're all used to – and also because I have a problem – but there's no denying that I'd go balls deep on a proper rerecording or miraculous remaster. It speaks volumes that most of us are still gushing over an album that's nearly 8 years old, but I think that's a testament to how powerful the songwriting is over the production quality. (Which isn't atrocious... it could just be so much better.) The idea of being able to hop back and forth between current Tertia and a 2019 Tertia that's on the same production scale as Dust & Disquiet is a delightful thought to consider.

  24. I went to Waterloo when I was in town for South By a few years ago. Pretty cool place. Grabbed St. Vincent self-titled (after seeing her at the NPR showcase the night before and not having her new album on wax yet). Beck's Guero and this awesome third man records slipmat that's still on my TT. Wasn't able to check out any shops when I was in town, but I'll hopefully be back for SX this year so I'll definitely be hitting up the other shops while in town. http://s2.photobucket.com/user/XbigcX187/media/photo_zpsb8e91124.jpg.html

  25. I had similar feelings as you across the board — not exactly disappointment per se, but that feeling of "How does this fit in the universe?" It's so different thematically, darker than anything else in the entire Star Wars saga thus far, and even the heroes weren't exactly good people. But that was also kind of the appeal to it: This movie made the Rebel Alliance look just as flawed as the Empire, and at the same time added a deeper level of humanity to some people within the Empire (the scene with the engineers in the rain was heartbreaking). But yeah, it definitely felt like a war movie, not your typical "a hero's journey" movie that pretty much every Star Wars movie has been. All that said: The Vader scene at the end was totally badass.

  26. Don't forget... technically this IS a movie set in the Star Wars universe and not part of the "main" story. So your feelings are pretty justified IMO. Movie was fucking awesome, will probably check it out again in theaters if I'm working near a real IMAX theater anytime soon.

  33. Accepted. Here is the before pic, which we already established was graciously send by chkadea. This was out of control. The after.... Whores - Gold 12" - Gold/Purple Swirl --- I have heard good things about this record, but had not listened to before. It rules. I really dig it. I think it might be sold out at the moment. Thus, glad i am glad to have a copy. Thanks! UXO - S/T 12" - White --- This is the new band by Chris and and Steve from Unsane and Today is the Day, respectively. It is also loud, abrasive and good. Coquettish - Total Pops Madness 7" - Tests Press --- This is from a japanese ska punk band. I was unfamiliar with them. Will have to give this some spins. Andes Peppermint Crunch Thins --- I love peppermint bark. I am crushing them as I type. The Emerald Mile --- It says the story is epic and looks intriguing. Next on my list. Star Wars Lego Wookie Gunship --- After typing this out I am going to put it together. I love me some star wars. I am actually listening to the Catalyst book (Rouge One Prequel) as i type. Broomstick Strawberry Gunpowder Green Tea --- My wife was eyeing this up. She is a tea junkie. I hope to get a cup in soon. Sun art paper --- Looks fun. I hope to send some friends my sun burned bird. Ren & Stimpy comic --- Always a good time. Nothing beats the episode where Stimpy loses his fart. Camping Clothes Line --- This looks useful. I plan to try it out once we thaw out. Swedish Dish Cloth -- I do a lot of dishes. My wife does few. I will put this to good use. Moosey X-mas Ornaments --- Already on the tree. 2 CD mixes --- Some sweet tunes on here: Bad Brains, Tom Waits, Murder by Death, Robert Johnson, Lera Lynn, Joy Division, etc. It goes without saying, chkadea did an awesome job. Thank you so much!! In appreciation here is another pic of the foster kitties.

  35. So Gilead Media is doing a sub for 2017. It's going to be $325, but you get 18 records (all the most limited variants), a discount for the Eroding Winds distro, discounts on any extra LPs they release, an exclusive mug, slipmat, and patch. Plus 5 test presses of every release will be randomly given away to subscribers. I'm so down for this as I was going to buy almost all of the first 5 releases of 2017 from them.
