Paper + Plastick ripped off most of their bands. If you don’t already have the record, then buy it from Rev. Sixteen is also a really fun record. Worth picking up for anyone who doesn’t already own a copy.

There isn’t an immediate preorder here but, Clouds Hill will now oversee publishing rights to the entire Omar Rodriguez-Lopez solo catalog, DeFacto, Antemasque, and The Mars Volta. I think this also includes all of the Omar-named groups as well. This apparently includes physical reissues, but the first release will be the Mars Volta Tremulant EP on all major streaming services this Friday. There’s no word about timeline for physical releases, but you have to assume this has been in the works for a while and could mean we start seeing something soon. They had a US store up for their last album (wolfalicestore.com), but it's been taken down since. RCA is pretty decent-sized, and is also owned by Sony, so you'd think they'd provide more US support than this. At least the black vinyl is reasonably priced...

Surprisingly, yes, it's harder to find at a reasonable price these days. I can only find it on Discogs now and for >$75 when it used to be about $30. I want it, but hard to stomach at that price. Maybe your local shop isn't doing as many sales online? btw, great name, love that album.

Pumped for this album! I just watched the YouTube premiere of the new song "Last Man on Earth" and quite honestly, I was mind-blown. I love their music, but the song was so much better than I could have imagined. I actually ranked "My Love is Cool" as my #1 album of the 2010-2019 decade. Definitely going to pre-order, it just a matter of where and how. With an album title of "Blue Weekend" I definitely want a blue variant, but the $42.99 in the US Rough Trade store is silly (don't need a bonus CD). Rogue package update: I finally have my copy! Apparently it was delivered to a doorstep of a house where nobody lived, so a neighbor brought the package to the post office knowing it must be for someone else. I'm glad to have the records, but I'm more excited about the good samaritan who restored my faith in humanity a bit.
