  6. listen, I am going to say this once . we are pricing everything in the store at the lowest possible discogs pricing and anyone who knows me, knows that this isn't about making an extra ten bucks or something, off of some new hard to find LP. I have traveled to EU and Asia getting a lot of these records and have been (and still) busting my ass and putting myself in debt to make this a reality. if you don't like the idea, don't come. simple as that. I know a lot of people who'd like the chance to see and check out the condition of an LP before buying it. and I know a lot of people would like a shop that focuses on contemporary music and not a lot of dollar bins and stuff you can buy online. once again, if you dont have something nice to say. ..

  8. Hybrid Theory was the first CD I ever bought, so this news was like a kick to the gut for me. I had a friend who was working backstage for Projekt Revolution about a decade or so ago, and she saw someone driving around on a golf cart and just assumed it was a roadie. She asked if he could grab her a couple of sodas, and he said "Sure!" and drove off. He came back and gave them to her and rode off again. During Chris Cornell's set, she took a break to shoot the shit with me and watch his set. Chester walked on stage and she wondered why everyone was so excited. I let her know that he was the lead singer of Linkin Park, the band responsible for tour, and that's when she realized that Chester was the golf cart guy.

  21. It feels like VMP went to them for a Sleep Well Beast exclusive and the band went "Nah but be dont have any plans for Boxer so you can reissue it if you like. Oh and here's a 7" of songs from the new album to sweeten the pot"

  28. It's cool for those that don't have it I guess. The yellow pressing is fine for me. I'm actually glad it's nothing new so I'm not compelled to grab it.

  29. Wow that's the biggest joke of a ROTM. I'm sure that 7" is the same that was sold at Fork Fest and those shows (except it's clear as opposed to blue)...

  32. Looks like the RRP for this in the UK is about £70 (Norman Records have it at £67.99) so anyone interested I'd recommend pre-ordering from Amazon now as it's only £57.75 and they don't take payment until it's dispatched

  42. I've found that, for the purposes of anyone not in Massachusetts, the entire state is Boston. Foxboro? Boston! Worcester? Boston! I thought I was finished with The Smiths when I bought that enormous box set on Popmarket a few years back, but I guess they'll be getting more of my $$.

  44. So keen for this release, a DVD from the era would have made this perfect, but its pretty great regardless. Although I do hope that it comes with a book, some replica posters or something "5LP Vinyl Boxset - Housed in lift off box with 2 double gatefolds and 1 single" Glad that all the seperate 'albums' have their own proper sleeves too.

  45. As far as I'm concerned and for lack of a better analogy, You Forgot it In People is their OK Computer. It is truly a masterpiece record....this record is phenomenal as well. If you haven't listed to You Forgot It In People, then your missing out!

  47. Definitely. There are a few people in this thread that aren't necessarily hyped, but are still optimistic that Linkin Park will be worth checking out 12+ years after they had their moment in the spotlight. That's fine. The part I'm curious about - without trying to sound too condescending here - is... why? Hybrid Theory was basically the coolest new thing in junior high, for me. Of course. And I spent a good bit of time with Meteora when it was released, I'll admit it. But that shit is behind me, personally, and to me it feels like good riddance. I've also never worn denim shorts or collected Magic: The Gathering cards since then. There's just so much good music out there that I don't see why you'd hope a band will rehash their glory days for your nostalgia when they're clearly more interested in writing radio butt-rock for Transformer soundtracks. I'm not preaching what anyone should or shouldn't listen to, but I am saying that some things are definitely better left in the past.
