This is minor, but I hate being told that buying someone's thing is a no-brainer. Also 'curated' has sufficiently become synonymous with trash in my mind. Anyway, no. As someone who has never been part of any monthly record club (so grain of salt I guess) I have actively considered a LOT of different deals from several places, but this was the easiest pass I ever handed down. People give out label sampler cd's FO FREE and people don't listen to them, I do sometimes but it's never something where I thought it was a really well-thought out mix and someone should press it. It is often a random, incohesive mash of various genres. Again this is an example very similar to VNYL where you're trusting someone else to do things like 'curate' and create a 'flow' and it's just a waste of money when you could just trust yourself and buy an album you like.

I came into this thread expecting actual "appreciation" for VM but then forgot this was VC... I've been a subscriber since the beginning and have no plans on cancelling. It should be said that this subscription is for fans of indie pop or synth-pop since that's what more than 80% of the music is which anyone (that's ever been on this board for longer than a day) would know that this isn't something VC would be interested in. Almost every artist (not all) is unsigned and has no other physical release available so this is just a showcase for those types of artists as well as the artists that create and design the packaging. The subscription is pricey, but the packaging and the quality of the vinyl is not cheap. 10ppd might seem like a good deal but if you know what you like, then buy what you like.

Growing up on li/NYC, I saw,this band so many times. From early days with kiss kiss ep on shows with silent majority, indecision, box, milhouse, kill your idols, inside to scoring the opening slot of leg 1 on white pony tour when eyewtks came out to snocore with sparta. I always valued that they were different than most bands they played with. Daryl vocal styling always reminded me if Mike Patton or HR fronted a band on discord. With that said and my changing musical tastes in the last 20 years since I cherished this band, this album is beyond forgettable. Listened twice and struggled to finish it both times

There are no catchy moments on this album, so nothing really sticks in my head. In saying that, for some reason I keep wanting to listen to it. I seriously think I won't be able to decide whether I actually like it or not until I go through it about 10 times. I don't think I've ever been so unopinionated on an album in my life lol.

Most records on DF that actually had all the pressing info (mostly pop punky emo stuff) has it listed on discogs on the info page anyways. I'm still working on taking individual photos of each album, but I've got a full shot at least showing that the number of records I have listed looks accurate. I've been documenting the actual records themselves on instagram (been slacking the last couple months though.

All the Mario Odyssey hype eventually got to me. Bought a Nintendo Switch + Mario Odyssey over the weekend. I'm up to about 450 moons. Damn it's fun... Not sure what to play when I'm finished though... I already finished BOTW on WiiU, so I'm not double dipping for the Switch version.
