I just wanted to bring to everyone's attention a cool new feature within your user profile page just launched by the VC coding team. You can now add all your vinyl gear ( to our user profile. I setup mine to show you an example. When you click my profile on the left hand side under my "About" section we added another section titled "Your Gear Setup". Now you can share your turntable setup in all it's glory! To add your gear just go to your profile page (click your profile name in the black menu bar top right). Click edit "Edit Profile" near the top of the page. A pop up window will appear and under your "Basic Info" you will be able to fill in all your gear! Any issues doing so please @ me or pm me! Thanks to @vinyl addict for the feature request!

Finally watched the last 3 episodes and holy shit that was an ordeal. Not in a bad way but it was a lot to take in one sitting, I was pretty shook by the end. Even though there are so many unanswered (and new) questions, I still think it was pretty definitive (and bleak....and confusing) end.

MOV have their own master that I'm sure was not done by Stan Ricker. It will definitely sound different and I'm convinced it will likely be better.

Mine came today. Hand numbered #50/150 little bit of a tight fit in the jacket but the packaging is really cool

about 45-55 depending on sleeve size. Obviously a box set throws that number off.

I'm actually sort of amazed by the magnitude of love for TWFM. I enjoy the album a whole lot, and it has a remarkable amount of songs that deliver and hold up very well over time. But it's also the only National album that has a handful of meh songs scattered about, in my opinion. Demons is still a stumbling mess. Fireproof is kind of unremarkable. Heavenfaced is a bit of a lullaby and I still can't get over Matt trying to rhyme as many words as he can with dreamer / freezer / etc. Closing track doesn't blow my mind either. Fortunately the rest of the album is ace, but I guess I'm just not used to hearing "dips" in the consistency of their albums. SWB is basically perfect though – the pacing, the variety, the flow. Even the tracks that I thought were so-so on first listen managed to make things interesting and noteworthy with an experimental outro or jam. Definitely check out all of their prior stuff whenever you can get around to it. Not to sound like a fanboy but they're all so good for different reasons. Lots of great flavors across their discography, and all worth hearing multiple times. This band has been the definition of a "grower" band for me, over the years, and super rewarding to revisit and grow accustomed to.

I think you're confusing it with the OST for Sinbad's genie movie, which was 100% vinyl only.

Had a feeling a box would be coming but at that tag, I may be better off just grabbing the albums I would listen to on a regular basis. Would love a boxset of the first half of their discography.

CSS and EMAC both arrived today in canada. CSS was protected by tissue paper and EMAC was protected by bubble wrap, both arrived without damage. spinning these momentarily

I moved everything into the basement and finally got around to putting everything up. I just have to find a new lounge chair to replace the desk and I'm done for a while.
