  1. Make this: but sell it for $300 instead of $3000. And also be based in the USA

  2. I've always dreamed of a Kallax-like shelf, but with the records facing cover out in some type of crate that slides out on brackets so you fan flip through the album covers and slide it back in if that makes sense. The brackets would have to be super heavy duty. That would be awesome.

  3. Last August we sold our house. Built a new house, finished it in October. Then decided to finish the basement myself. Been without records and audio for 10 months. About 3 weeks ago I finished the basement enough to start moving stuff in. It's a work in progress with still more stuff yet to come from the framers.

  4. Received my copy today. The signature looks like the pen was running dry. Considering this is a collector's piece and how long I waited for it, I'm gonna send them an email to get another signature with a new Sharpie. Kidding. Really happy I didn't sleep on purchasing this.

  5. Back in my day you preorded a Converge record without knowing which variant you got or what the variants even were. I doubt it'll be a full album pre-order. A full album announcement with the singles, probably. A 7" with those singles to go with the announcement, maybe.

  6. OK! WE have some winners! Yes plural! I decided that since you guys are so great, that I'd double the test presses for this giveaway. I assigned each entrant a number and then used https://www.random.org/ to pick. Winners of the reject test presses: @highfives & @EquinoxDesignLab PM me for details on how to redeem! Thanks again all! Tell your friends!

  7. A "Kallax" type shelf that has a "thinner" outline to accommodate more records when the units are placed next to, and on top of each other....BUT a stronger outline than an Expedit....AND some type of "sliding door" on the front that will conceal all the records inside, and keep the spines from being scratched up by the cats.... That would be my "dream" record shelf.

  8. Wow...I never expected this much feedback! I don't have any specific concerns with my records. After listening to everyone, I feel comfortable about how they are stored now. As for the value, it's all relative. I have about a dozen pieces that are worth north of $300. For some, that is pretty minimal, for me, that's pretty high. Specifically, here are some things that I was thinking about when I made the first post: Ramones - Leave Home (test pressing) Misfits - Horror Business Warzone - Lower East Side EP (1st pressing) AFI - Sing the Sorrow Zombies - Odessey And Oracle (original pressing)

  13. Well, I looked at it wrong to be honest with ya. I kind of figured in my head that the record player had a spot to be there, not just put there for the photo. So yes, now that makes more sense. It doesn't fit into the room I've got going on right now though. Anything like that would block the vents. I've got a 1950's antique case with the turntable on the top and we're also getting stackable modular cases. That would be my suggestion to the OP, make your stuff expandable. I love my antique case, but it's too small. It's been full for months and months.

  14. @batman @BuzzersonKillwell Just got back from our VT trip. We weren't able to get outside of Waitsfield after our hike but was able to get my hands on some Sip of Sunshine, Heady Topper, Maine Beer Co - MO and Rock Art's Limited Access at the Village Grocery in town. I grabbed a pint of Hill Farmstead's Edward at Mad Taco and it blew me away. Such a superb APA! Also had Fiddlehead's Second Fiddle DIPA and Drop-In's Heart of Lothian Scottish Brown Ale during dinner at Fire & Ice in Middlebury before we started our hike. Both were really tasty. I was a bit surprised with Heart of Lothian, as it didn't seem to get much love in ratings, etc. Was super fresh/drinkable and had awesome flavor. Thanks for all of the insight and recommendations. Definitely looking forward to getting back up to VT/Maine again next year.

Random bump. But I've been listening to a lot of Lil Peep, $uicideboy$, GHOSTEMANE, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, LIL UGLY MANE, XXXTENTACION, and Ski Mask The Slump God. Kind of a random combination I know, and I also know that a couple are laughable, but oh well. Enjoying the hell out of all of them right now,

  20. According to Eric White on Instagran (the dude who did the artwork for the record), the vinyl should be coming out soon. He said he already sent the hi-res image to Sony.

  21. Expedited/kallax style with a back to them so records can't be pushed too far back. Also a sliding front panel when not in use would be good.

  23. I've been listening to these guys. They have a blackgaze thing going on. I guess there is another band also named Weltschmerz. I don't even know how I stumbled across them. No vinyl yet, but name your price on Bandcamp. https://weltschmerzband.bandcamp.com/album/static-in-the-presence-of-intrusive-consciousness

  26. This thread is devolving fast. It's an Anberlin thread, not a Stephen Christian worship album thread. Anyone order the white version of the box set? Guessing they're super limited and not many were made. How does the white vinyl sound?

    The Beer Thread

That's awesome! Love me some Edward and MO. Maine Beer Co. is fantastic. I'm up near Boston for the week. Had some Trillium DDH Scaled & Launch Beer and Hill Farmstead Society and Solitude.

  33. Route 66 and sex beat records in Copenhagen, and for food there are some amazing Thai places there, go to the rice market its owned by the same chef as the Michelin star restaurant KIN KIN also in Copenhagen. If you are looking for a little nicer place with amazing atmosphere go to HOST its got the 2 dots above the O. Also if you want to go to the coolest bar in Copenhagen look for RUBY. Its a speakeasy place that makes all craft cocktails and bourbon bar. If you don't go to any of these you will regret it. Also if you are looking for great sushi go to STICKS AND SUSHI on the top of an awesome hotel and there are usually really hot girls there. My X Gf from Sweden that I dated for 5 years lived there for 2 and I have been all through that city.

  34. Well from the looks of things, you plan on purchasing the TDS 2017 edition, but you may not be getting jack shit. Sorry to hear about all your trouble with your order. It seems like the problems with merch companies are meant to persist for NIN.

  37. I watched Split last night and was pleasantly surprised. I don't know if I've ever liked a Shyamalan movie (save for maybe The 6th Sense when it came out) and probably would have skipped this, but the very positive attention and McAvoy sparked my interest. It's nice to see him not get so wrapped up in twists and do something a little more straight forward. He's always been a decent director, just has some failings as a writer. My minor complaint is that the three girls weren't too developed. Even the one with backstory was still fairly a 'one sided abducty'. I also didn't care for the tie in to Unbreakable. It didn't ruin the movie for me, but it felt like it cheapened it a bit. Even with those nitpicks, I quite enjoyed it and would recommend it. I mean it's probably worth watching just for McAvoy's multiple performances, he was great.

  40. As far as "Mumble Rap": I dislike a majority of artists of that uhm...genre, but I think the people that are constantly complaining about it is even worse (*cough* TeamBackPack *cough*). I like the fact that there's something new happening and that Hip-Hop is evolving - whether you think it's headed into a bad stage or not. Change is good.

  46. Newbury is a retail store not a record label. Any consistency you may find in their exclusive variants would be coincidence as there are different labels and pressing plants involved in each one.

  47. Just a friendly PSA that corner dings do not affect playback. Your record is fine, as such no action is required.
