  1. That sounds like the 67 chocolate press tbh. Super fucking rare because oddly enough the record itself has this slight chocolate taste when you lick it. If you confirm it then you have a realllllly expensive record on your hands.

Why is it so important to you that other people couldnt possibly feel for someone with different beliefs, orientation, or skin color? No one said they "understood" they said they were affected by it. Grow up. Not the place for it, so, I'm not going to argue the point any further.

  7. I was just randomly browsing and found this artist and that he is releasing a new album in August. I didn't hear of him before but I kinda like his music after listening to some tracks. Maybe some of you will know him from his band "The Civil Wars"? You can preorder the LP on his website for $18,98 and it will be signed by him. It is his first album since The Long Goodbye (2008). http://www.johnpaulwhite.com/store/cxt8zwr3donjwr17h1n8qtu4yoy7m0 You can listen to the first song called "The Martyr" here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E8C-cpNtSQ This song will also be pressed on a 7". You can buy this for only $1,99 and it includes a coupon for 2$ off his new album. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/22826529/john-paul-white-martyr-b-w-maple-hill Unfortunately bullmoose doesn't ship to Germany, I cannot even open their page from here to see more details about the 7". But maybe you guys are interested. Im really thinking about grabbing the LP, since the international shipping is quite low compared to normal. I could also get it locally, but a signed copy is nice I think. Other shops may be cheaper, but I am not sure if the signed version is exclusive to his shop and I am also not so familiar with the US shops. Maybe someone can help me out here.

  8. Hi. I have 200-300 vinyl albums for sale and I need help. this morning I brought 100 to a local music/collectibles store. The owner flipped through my vinyl and said he will buy 50 for $50 or 100 for $90. He had one condition: a few of the albums were packaged/stored differently. The owner said that these albums were not particularly rare or valuable, but insisted they be part of any sale. I don't this this guy is lying to me but I want to make sure. One of the albums is Sgt. Peppers by the Beatles. Its in a very old plastic wrap, looks like original packaging, from when who knows. There are a few small rips in the plastic. The only date I found on the back is 1967 for the copy-write. How do I find out an aprx. market value for these albums? I felt uneasy taking the guys word for it and handing them over for $1 a piece. Thanks. I can post pictures later if anyone is interested.

Apparently he was a regular at the club. Nobody knows what his real intentions were at this point but everyone sure as hell is quick to point fingers and place blame. If this year hasn't shown you what the media is truly capable of and you aren't terrified I'm very jealous.

  12. thanks for the replies, and thanks Thomas for discogs.com. I'll do the work tonight and report any nice finds. I licked Sgt. Pepper record, no chocolate taste , just a hit of dirty hippy. it not even sealed anymore, I'll be lucky to get $.75 now.

  13. At $65 it has already skyrocketed in price! I'm not really seeing how this price is anywhere near worth it unless it is limited to 100. Anyone who needs this should just go to your local record store, buy a regular copy, and number it with a sharpie. Take the money you saved and buy two more Ramones records!

  18. I'm all over this... in for the magenta deluxe: -- https://chunklet.bandcamp.com/album/live "Limited to 217 on magenta vinyl. Limited to 312 on clear vinyl. Unlimited on black vinyl." "Pylon Live is a double vinyl album recorded on the band’s home turf at the culmination of their powers, and the results could not be more stellar. An all killer, no filler set with nothing left on the cutting room floor, Pylon Live includes powerful versions of the Pylon canon from their first and second LPs and even the hard-to-find song “Party Zone” (previously available only on a DB Rec comp) and their never-before-released rendition of the “Batman Theme.” When compared to the band’s prior body of work, Pylon Live bookends all of it; some might even say it’s a better representation of this Athens quartet, who thrived on bouncing around on stage infinitely more than sitting in a studio. There’s little arguing that the Athens powerhouse trifecta of R.E.M., the B-52’s, and Pylon is peerless. And while all three bands have achieved great critical acclaim, only the first two had the commercial acclaim they deserved. Pylon Live intends to correct that. Pylon Live is being released on July 25, 2016, the birthday of deceased Pylon guitarist Randy Bewley, with release events scheduled for this summer in Atlanta and Athens."

appears there was one armed security guard at the club. can't find details on their exact location at the time of the attack, but it's possible they were no longer at the front of the club at 2am, as the club was closing down. looks like the only other security was the bouncer, sadly confirmed as one of the victims. since the attacker was a security guard by profession himself, he most likely prepared and knew where and what type of opposition he would encounter.

  20. Have fun! I went to my first wrestling show around that age, and I still remember a few bits and pieces of it. I thought the crowd was chanting "Rocky SOCKS!" instead of "Rocky SOCKS!" and my old man bought me a Bret Hart shirt. I hope your son takes home a good memory or two!

  25. I think I'm gonna go for the latest Dre record. ~$50 for it is stupid, but I was waiting for it to be under $30 so I'm sold. I'm gonna end up ordering like 15 records and looking like a madman.

  27. I'm thinking at least that. It's 14 studio albums plus the bonus rarities. At least 15 LPs plus the book plus the box, I was thinking closer to $300.

  28. Thanks for the all the recommendations! Ive already done a ton on this first trip. I've got 3 more trips up here--5 more weeks (and 2 weekends) to fill. Already drove out to Cape Cod/Provincetown and had a fantastic dinner at a little spot called The Canteen, visited Gillette Stadium/Patriots Place, drove up to Portland, ME to visit my favorite brewery (Allagash) and had probably the best meal of my life at Eventide Oyster Co, and went to Regina Pizzeria and Kimball Farm. Record shopped at a few Newbury's and Bullmoose up in Portland. Didn't find anything worth hauling back home though.
