  1. Spent the last couple days remodeling my office / record listening / storage area. Still a couple smaller things to do, like waiting for my 7" wooden boxes, new speakers and a couple more frames to arrive, but this is pretty much it. vis à vis:

  4. We're on a website dedicated to buying music on huge ass wax discs. We all got problems. Also to note, sent a tweet to Lakeshore/Invada about that boxset and they told me they're still 'working on that'.

  5. While I'm sure this record will be great, here's the really exciting news — through their new label, Cursive will be reissuing all of their records, starting with Such Blinding Stars For Starving Eyes and Storms Of Early Summer: Semantics Of Song, later this year. FINALLY, those first two albums will be back in print on vinyl!

  6. Ordering without hearing the new track. Need everything Tim. Really curious about this new label. Feels weird not buying something like this from Saddle Creek.

  14. I know it's still a little early on in the day to call it, but I can say with adequate certainty that this is the least intelligent post I'll read on the boards today.

  15. If you dont include all the other stuff its like 20 bucks a record. Considering it has many records that were never pressed and the cost of LPs these days its pretty fair. That accordian box probably cost like 15-20 to make alone.

He give so little of a shit that it infuriates him and eats away at his very innards that some of us would be so naive as to think he actually gives a shit, so he continually monitors the board to make sure no one has mistakenly pointed out that perhaps he does give a shit, all the quicker to strike back and reiterate that he clearly could not give less of a shit.

  24. it's a shame i missed out on the gold. however, i'm going to get the black matte version, copy it to a blank bathtub-white colored cassette of my choosing, slice my finger open with a knife, drip my own blood on the bathtub-white colored cassette copy that i just made and watch the blood dry while listening to the black matte version i purchased. then i'll have the coolest, most-limited version of this pressing.

  25. Not sure why I can't add text to the above message. Anyway. Do I really have to give back my card when I plugging in a $2000 turntable and $1000 preamp into it? Actually, that might make it worse. Nevermind.

  31. @tvham It's custom made! Got a cheap white shelf at the hardware store, cut into the right dimensions, and a couple furniture feet from ikea. Cost less than $10! @JRHews Ugh, don't even get me started.. I'm living in a pre-war house and the floors are slanted beyond belief. I spent hours to level everything, but still mounted it all to the walls, to be sure. Also put loads of cardboard below the 4x4 to make sure it's not going anywhere..

  36. I subscribed to New Japan World to see WK11 and New Year Dash live last week and I'm so happy I did that. Okada-Omega is legit the greatest match I've ever seen. I mean, it was so good, it clearly stood out among fantastic matches like Naito-Tanahashi, Shibata-Goto and Kushida-Takahashi. I have no idea how Okada and Omega are going to try to top that in their inevitable rematch. I'm actually scared they're gonna kill themselves. Regarding the Royal Rumble, this is probably the most unpredictable Rumble in years. I'd love to see Jericho win, although Balor or Joe would be just as good.

  38. I'd argue that it's a trend in the way that vinyl is a trend. There's been a very active cassette scene for quite a long time and it's not really going away anymore than vinyl is. Quite a few artists I like do primarily CS releases and were doing so way before this recent boom. I won't argue that there are plenty of releases cashing in on the tape trend, but I wouldn't call this one of them.

  39. Being a slave to the variant-game sucks but I know how that struggle works. In a similar situation I'd probably pass on the black and save that money for Discogs prowling, down the road. Not to downplay anyone's excitement, but its 2017 and I'm still going strong against the recent cassette trend. Really cool they're making this available, but a shame that it's exclusive to tape.

  43. Aw yeah, I have a couple CD's and as far as vinyl goes Dare to be Stupid, Self titled, In 3-D and Madatory Fun. You know it If you want one I have a couple more...
