  8. I wasn't getting my notifications, so I apologize to everyone who DMed me and had to wait like 3 days for a response. Ha! That being said, these are all spoken for. High fives to those MOMR supporters over the years! You guys rock!

  9. You guys are quick! New single is up now. A couple dogs in the office today so I've been slightly distracted

  10. Received my download code as well. Seen it was from Merchnow so I'm almost betting the Indiegogo contributors are going to get the exact same vinyl as the standard Merchnow preorder. Kind of shitty if that is the case since I could've just waited and preordered for 10 bucks cheaper. I mean I know I helped fund the record but the least they could do is make the Indiegogo contributors vinyl a little different. Hell invert the color of the record sleeve. End of rant.

  11. This thread was getting my expectations pretty low for this album. But after listening to the first half this morning I'm really liking it a lot so far. I'm wondering if those complaining about a lack of Damon vocals listened past the first couple of songs?

  12. I try it once every few months just to see if it's better than I recall, or to see if it'll clock like other albums have mysteriously done at random, as time goes on. I'm still getting nothing over here. I don't think it's inherently bad music, nor am I weighing it against its hype. It just doesn't ever reach a moment that leaves a lasting impression on my end. I know I'm in a minority but it's whatever. Not a record I'm forcing myself to like, but also not so terrible that I need to delete it off my HD. Somewhere firm between the two.

  13. Hey, so bumping an old thread to say that I sometimes do videography for local bands and a couple weeks ago my friend's band (who I'm doing a music video for) opened for The Hotelier at Penn State. I filmed their set and put it on Youtube and it came out really cool if anyone would be interested in checking it out! They played Opening Mail for My Grandmother which was the first time I've ever heard them play it live and it was an honor to film that one especially.

  14. Thanks for all the advice. Little punk came early. I'll post pics another time.

  15. I actually liked the song. If you imagine you're listening to EDM, it kinda works. But if you're expecting pop punk I can see where it misses the mark

  18. I think the saddest part about this is a that a site crashed because THAT MANY people WANT to pay $40 (yep, I'm going there) for a 2XLP.

  19. Its called "Most Major Label Controlled Bands Have Merch Sites With Prices That Are Way Beyond What Could Actually Be Justified And Most Items Can Be Found For Much Cheaper At Other Retail Outlets" Syndrome. Compare the C&C merch site price for IKSSE:3 2LP to the price on amazon or almost anywhere else you can find it.

  23. It's a pretty sweet line up, I completely agree. I just don't think I could take it. Exactly this. I went last year for the first time cuz Masked Intruder and Teenage Bottlerocket. I couldn't take it. I'm also old, but I've never felt more awkward and out of place in my life. The best thing when I went was that the "misting tent" was a garden sprinkler zip tied to a roof.

  24. For me it's the crowd. I went to one of those things one year only because Social Distortion and Face to Face were playing. I couldn't get outta there quick enough. I'm old.

  28. Buying too many damn records (no such thing I know). Went to a garage sale and bought some stuff I normally wouldn't just cause it was .50 but some nice discoveries that way (Emily Remler, killer jazz guitarist goes toe to toe with the likes of Kenny Burrell) then I stopped by the record store in the area, and cleaned up on some underpriced used records they put out for RSD that didn't sell: Free "Fire and Water", Mountain "Nantucket Sleighride" (clean with both photos and booklet), Zombies "Time Of The Zombies" (disc 1 is all early singles and disc 2 is the stereo mix of O&O) and the prize find was an original relatively clean mono of "(Turn On) The Music Machine" for a total of $29 (plus $3.50 for 7 records at the garage sale). I also had to take home a Brother Jack McDuff before our jazz sale ended. On top of my RSD splurge I think I have quite a few new tunes to keep me busy. Day off today, going to relax and resleeve a ton of records my disckeepers came in

  29. Just got my download code, as well. I assume no one has received their Indiegogo-version of the vinyl? I am liking the overall sound of the album after a couple listens, but a little upset over how the whole camp kind of dropped the ball on this crowdfunding and vinyl release as far as communication and getting the product out on time.

  30. It gets better the more I listen. I don't think HIL can top Suck Out The Poison or It Hates You but it's still pretty good. I know I'm in the minority with Suck Out The Poison but that album is so fucking good. The guitar, the vocals, the drums... everything is awesome. It's my go to album at the gym.

  31. "You can't honestly say any songs from the California era are good." I can and have. "It's 40 year old men singing about being "Kings of the Weekend" and writing songs like "Sober" and "She's Out of Her Mind."" That's funny, you pick two rather normal songs instead of complaining about two 40 year olds singining about building a pool to see naked dudes or saying that they can't get a girl more pregnant. Who reads into Blink lyrics so closely like it's Bob Dylan or some other master song writer? Plus don't mention songs like Misery, Cynical and San Diego when they all contain some rather serious lyrical context. Some stuff is serious and some isn't, that's not new for Blink. "Furthermore, the lyrics to Parking Lot make no fucking sense. " Do they need to make sense? The drum work on Parking Lot kicks ass and I think Skiba's vocals rocked that song. "All the songs are generic garbage that are incredibly predictable and have childishly writen lyrics." I'll refer you back to Misery, San Diego, 6/8, Los Angeles, Cynical and Bored to Death. I'd love to know what makes any song on California (other than the joke songs) "childish". "John Feldman's influence on them is destorying the band." That I don't disagree with. If John just let Mark, Travis and Matt do their thing we would've probably had a much different album but Feldy produced all the deluxe songs as well and so far it's got possibly the best stuff from California.

  32. Honestly the things people nitpick from California and the deluxe songs is ridiculous. Gotta find something to complain about.

  33. I'm skipping through it and I agree, it's well-done. Side-note: I avoided Home for a while because I didn't think it would live up to its massive hype, but now I listen to it like twice a day. What do I know?

  34. I enjoyed the song. They have been pretty quickly evolving over the course of the last 3 albums. I guarantee the entire album doesn't sound like this song, however. Ordered the swirl variant, because FOB...

  35. I ordered around 11pm on Saturday night and my order shipped out on Tuesday. It is taking 5 days to get to me and I only live 3-4 hours from the shop so I will update once I get it and hopefully everything is all good. In the 1-2-3-4 thread on here a page or two back there were a few other people who had there orders shipped already as well so hopefully yours goes out soon.

  37. "Different" is not the descriptor I'd use to measure tastes, here. Honestly, man, if I were hyped on this single and enjoying new FOB in 2017, I'd probably opt to never open the music I purchase and instead sell it a week after it arrived on my doorstep, too. I think I'm starting to understand the angle you work.

  40. Just realized that a complete BBC sessions would likely run four, even five sides so it would have to be 5LP. I would have had no idea of that at the time... Heck, I wouldn't really be browsing Amazon for records... I only was aware of Discogs, Ebay, online storefronts and (e)mail-order

  42. There's progressing as musicians and expanding your sound to attract new listeners and hopefully retain existing fans. And then there is this blatantly obvious cash grab and attempt to be relevant in music. Sad to see what this 'band' has come to. awful.

  43. Haven't been on VC very much over the last 6 months. Part of reason why is because my girlfriend of 8 years was diagnosed with breast cancer last October and life has been pretty hectic. I got this piece a few months back
