  5. I have biked 30m with a record tenderly held between my shirt and jacket to keep a tour exclusive pressing safe from a nice snowy/rain mix. It worked! #nocar

  6. Wow. Absolutely unacceptable. Contacting them about getting a replacement jacket right away!

  7. But a little glue stick on that jacket will fix it. Way better than the effort and frustration of sending an email and the waiting on going back and forth to sort it out and the complaining here. I'm not gonna disagree that Sandbag should do a better job packaging this (though after reading this thread, I understand if it was done out of spite), there are egregious problems (that dude with the massively bent EP , and maybe the dude with dinged corners). I'm just beginning to think that maybe some people are just being too nit picky. Or maybe its me and I'm not nit picky enough.

  8. only 6 episodes to finish it up, I doubt we'll see them spend much time anywhere else besides Castle Black and Winterfell.

  9. thanks @famousdrumer and @Fowty Dollaz. I lost out on my last offer so I bid higher on this house then I really wanted to, but worth it if they accept. Its a big burn when you lose out after getting excited. hopefully this one is accepted.

  10. The former RSD pressing has all of the samples but two. I was going to get this because I would want to have all the samples, but until they tell me the difference between this VMP and RSD, I'll just wait.

  11. Yes, you're not a real record collector unless you spend $40 in gas to drive out of town opposed to paying a store $4 to ship it to your door.

  12. Pretty sure Tormund/Beric made it out and will make it to Winterfell. The Undead my turn straight West along the South end of the wall to attack Castle Black and finish off whatever is left of the Night's Watch. Expecting to eventually see Cersei go berserk (probably something to do with her baby) and get Queen-Slayed as a completion of Jamie's redemption story arc. I kind of wonder what Jamie plans on doing immediately following this episode. It appears he just heads North by himself. Not sure if he will attempt to commandeer the Lannister armies.

  13. This is not an original soundtrack recording. Bit Brigade is a rock band that plays video game soundtracks.. Their live shows usually consist of them playing through a game soundtrack in sync with a dude who sits on stage and speedruns through the actual game which is projected behind them. It's fucking awesome! The quality of their releases are usually spot on, I own both the Zelda and Mega Man LPs. The Zelda album was remastered from the original digital release and sounds amazing.

  19. Hi everyone. There is a new September 8th release to announce and accept pre-orders for starting today! Cinematic, profound and absorbing. PYRIT is the solo project of Swiss German Thomas Kuratli. This first album is the musical expression of an original literary project: the story of a journey into the body – dissolving to universe and transforming into an extraterrestrial machine. Recorded in a parking lot , this album is full of ideas and vivid emotions while definitely pushing the limits of the oneman band. After moving from Zurich to Paris, Thomas started to work at his debut album UFO, originally drawn from Pyrit’s love of electronic, psychedelic and kraut he creates soundscapes of a deserted concrete- world, destruction and loneliness. Sometimes there is a glimpse of hope, sometimes there is not. Pyrit’s music is simultaneously loud and fragile, complex and simple, and always evolving. Navigating between electronic psyche, gaunt blues and the soundtrack of a weightless film, Thomas exposes himself by donning the costume of a disenchanted crooner in search of the ultimate slow. Appealing to fans of Low, David Lynch, Portishead and Kanye West' Yeezus, this is an album you will certainly want to check out. A video for the powerful song, Dirt On the Ground, is up on youtube here - Dirt On The Ground Video and a full album visual stream with lyrics is available here: Full Album Stream Originally pressed by Bookmaker Records in France, the limited pressing quickly sold out. Now repressed as a split collaboration between Robotic Empire in the US and Bookmaker in France, with freshly remastered audio specific to the more widespread vinyl release and upgraded packaging with 180 gram black vinyl and a high quality digital download included. US customers can pre-order with Robotic Empire here: US Customers Order Pyrit Here International customers please order direct from Bookmaker here: International Customers Here On a personal note, I feel UFO is one of the most captivating and original albums I've heard in a long time. I get goosebumps listening to this album and in my excitement over this re-release I'm offering a FREE Robotic Empire - Hawks T-shirt to anyone pre-ordering the Pyrit album. Just put your shirt size in the notes when placing the order! In addition to the Pyrit pre-orders there's a nice little distro update that goes along with it. Please check the lists below for new items and restocks from Gilead Media, Deathwish Records, Elder, Other Houses, and Godstopper to name a few. Got a few copies of the Nadja/A Storm of Light vinyl back from a distributor return so grab those up if you want one, only have 4. Also please note the MEGA sale on Torche's - In Return 10"+CD. 22. Shit, wasn't informed on who would be taking over. But I did assume it would be people they've played with before. I'm sure they're great musicians as well,l too. I'm still excited for the new album, and definitely look forward to catching them live. That news was very surprising to me

  23. Fair enough. But can we all agree that it's not completely insane for a Brand New fan to take a 10 hour drive to pick up an exclusive variant?
    1 point
  24. There are record stores in the same city as me that can easily take 30+ minutes to get to... I used to have to drive about an hour to get to my local record store. So sure, if you are more than an hour away from a record store, then Ill accept when you say you don't have any local shops . ($40 in gas implies more like a 10 hour round trip drive).

  25. They're kind of dancing around giving a straight answer which is concerning. Someone on the form said "well, I guess this doesn't have all of the samples" and a staff member replied with "we never said that :)". It's all really strange.

  29. Holy crap 15 years...I remember buying the cd at Tower when it came out and it blew me away. I will probably never own an original, but fwiw I have a black unofficial pressing that sounds supreme, a great improvement beyond the CD. Very slight surface noise here and there but it cranks real well. Song for the Dead melts my face with ease; I'll be content if its the only copy I ever own.

  30. Welp. I think I enjoyed the song a lil' bit more and didn't hate it as much after watching the video...the video was cheeky in her self-deprecation.

  34. Probably to no ones surprise, I found the Kevin Gray cut slightly better than the definitive cut by John Golden. The definitive version is very good. DOn't get me wrong. I though the KG cut was a bit more robust/fuller. I did a blind comparison of both records going track by track. I found that consistently noted preferring the KG cut, but to be fair, sometimes it was a toss up (VPI HW-19jr w/ a Grado blue on a vintage Marantz 2220 with Polk speakers). I think if you have the KG cut, you can pass on the definitive. Otherwise, get the KG cut if you don't own one, but if you have to get the definitive version (like because of a discount code or whatever), you will probably be happy with that as well. The Black to Black/KG cut packaging is a bit different. Inners are a thicker paper. Spine is a touch wider. Colors are muted. The DE is closer to the original pressing, Colors are richer. inners are the thin glossy paper (and do not come with the discs in them to avoid seem splits). The original pressing had the boldest colors on the packaging and are a richer yellow/brown with an orange hue. I don't have my original CD anymore, but I remember that being the same. These 2 new pressings seem to favor more yellow in the colors rather than the warmer orange end. Anyway those are my thoughts on the new DWS pressings.

  38. OP here, hahahahahahahahaha omg you guys are amazing, literally laughing out loud over here, some of them are comedy gold!! Also, that's some serious artwork right here... FYI I didnt, it came like that, mabye bc I signed up via Twitter: On a serious note, I didn't come up with that by myself, my local vinyl store recommended it, seen them do it as well, and I've been cleaning my vinyl (old and new) with Windex for 2 years now, never had any complaints, they actually always sound(ed) great afterwards. Soo idk what happened on this one, must've used a different brand than all the other times. Either way, can I get any honest ideas on what to do with this one, I suppose there's residue on it, any careful way to remove that?
