This is extremely wishful thinking, but I wonder if we'll get a 20th anniversary first ever vinyl reissue of System of a Down's Self-Titled. I really doubt it, but that would get my ass out of bed early for RSD.

This album absolutely fucking slays. I'm glad I grabbed this. I'm going to have to revisit their catalog after having written off their previous releases.

Hey gang, record store here. This fab.ca list a lot of y'all are referencing is far from the official list (which will be announced Tuesday 3/6). A lot of those are - I think - European releases and "unofficial" (non-RSD sanctioned) releases. I've seen the list. It's bigger than last year's by about 50 titles and I think there's a lot of good stuff on there. As always, YMMV. And thanks for chiming in, it's helpful for us to see what people are keen on!

You aren't hating but you're wrong. It costs about twice as much per unit to press on colored vinyl +/- $ by how fancy the color is. Black vinyl is usually 99c per unit with shit like splatter or color in color costing around $2.50. You can check on any pressing plants quote page. Edit: and clear costs more than black despite black being "colored" as you stated. It's the standard so there are vastly more black pellets manufactured that's why it's cheaper.

I don’t know why I waited. I liked everything I heard. Still standard reds available on her website but I love the marble. I’ll give it a couple weeks and see if they pop up somewhere.

I agree that Dallas record shops are pretty weak. Good Records’ stock is meh. Josey is overpriced. Forever Young is incredibly overpriced. Best shops in the area are Docs in Ft Worth which still hasn’t reopened and Direct Audio which is online only (warehouse is in North Dallas). 14 Records on garland road is worth checking out for vintage stock. He also has a selection at Curiosities in Lakewood. Prices can be high but he’s willing to make deals.

Definitely excited for this one, grabbed the smoke variant. Had to control myself on those wicked /25 variants of Surface Tension and stick with my 1/1 of the first press.

I hadn't bought anything from them in a LONG time, but grabbed Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want to Be for crazy cheap off Amazon recently. Not sure about their other releases but this one was A LOT better than what they were shitting out back in like 2005-2007 when I bought a few of their releases.

Till the next "Trilogy" release perhaps. I feel like maybe he might release the next 2 albums and this on black individually, and then re-release them all together as one thing like Trilogy with fancier packaging and color options. Fingers crossed.

Zao sent out an email about tours, said this on the bottom: " We are currently wrapping up recording on 3 new songs. 2 of them will come out this year on a limited edition 7 inch. 1 of them will be released by Mind Over Matter Records this fall on a split release with Less Art (which contains Ed and Riley from Thrice). More info on the 7 inch series HERE. All of these 7 inch songs will be exclusive to these releases. Also, as part of the recording sessions there are another 11 songs that are being worked on for a new full length projected for 2019. Reissues - Steadfast Records is getting ready to launch a pre-order for the original All Else Failed on vinyl for the first time. Keep an eye on Steadfast Records website for more information on that. We are also REALLY REALLY close to beginning to work on putting the Ferret Records era material on vinyl. Nothing is 100% official, but most likely happening. Hopefully starting with Funeral Of God later this year. More on that as we lock it in. "
