So not to be rude, but how are you determining that it turned “really nice” and was “a solid buy” if you haven’t opened it up yet to examine the craftsmanship or quality of the pressing? I’m all for people keeping this Underoath album sealed and off their turntables, but I’m just curious what you’re gauging off of. Like, did you unbox it and hold it in your hands, and think to yourself wow I was expecting a light 7” case but this has some heft! I am impressed. This is a good product. I am content with the weight of this...? Doesn’t matter but would still enjoy hearing the thought process.

My 180g Acid green and the 7" box set arrived today. The LP is nice and all but I have to give props to the 7" box set. Although completely impractical, and mostly a collector's item, it came out really nice. The box is super nice and the whole thing is pretty heavy. I'm very impressed on how it turned out. I'm not even going to unwrap mine because, again, so fucking impractical. Still, a solid buy.

Hydrahead is doing a fundraiser for Caleb Scofield's family and repressing his Zozobra releases on vinyl. All have been out of press for a while and were originally pressed in really small numbers. All the money raised will go to his family. Below is the text from the post from HYDRAHEADS facebook page. There honestly is not a better reason to pick these up and support his family and his music. "With the blessing of Caleb Scofield's family, Hydra Head is preparing to initiate a music based fundraising effort on their behalf. This will take shape in the form of a special reissue of Caleb's Zozobra albums on vinyl, an unreleased EP of Zozobra songs, and an Old Man Gloom Caleb tribute shirt. All proceeds will be donated to the Scofield family. This serves as our recognition of love and appreciation for Caleb, as well as a gift to all the people who've been positively impacted by his music. We are honored to help carry the torch of his creative voice into the future. The fundraiser will be launched later this week, details to follow. Thank you."

I don’t always drop half a hundred bucks on 6-part concept albums about dementia, but when I do, it’s for Caretaker. I wasn’t expecting that price point either but I also wasn’t expecting a double LP. I wonder if 5 or 6 will break triple LP territory.

Awesome. What’s everyone’s thoughts on it? I’m liking it. Took me a couple listens though to feel like I adjusted to it. Feels less guitar dominant to me, which is different. Maybe a little more Thomas Giles feeling? Highlights for me is Condemned and Blot.

Anyone catch the season 2 premier of Legion? Goddamn that was crazy and beautiful and awesome and I loved every minute of it. I missed this show so much.
