Rather than opening a new topic everytime anyone sees a new preorder or release and clutter up the board with obscure metal bands that only a few people might appreciate, I figured it would be a great idea to have one thread that encompasses all new extreme metal releases and pre-orders. Of course if a release is well known, then by all means it warrants it's own thread on the boards, of course. If you don't think it's a huge release, go ahead and post it here. Here we'll see bands of extreme metal genres like death metal, thrash metal, grindcore, black metal, Avant garde progressive metal. And any other extreme metal group that fancies our taste. I've seen a lot of metal releases around the Cyber space that I don't see posted here but I didn't want to clutter up the boards with shit only a few people would like. Anyways, I'll be posting Some metal bands here and you can too!

I think the lathes sound pretty good, but then again, I expect them to not be great, because it's a different method that isn't foolproof. Hello, This is a waste of everyone's time, but I'd just like to express a desire to purchase absolutely everything I didn't act on/didn't have the money for at their pre-boom prices. All the poor sad records that have $200+ markups and are on ebay being displayed with the grooves smashed onto someone's gross carpet or grease-filthy kitchen stove. I don't want to flip them. I don't want to use them as credibility badges, because the few people I talk to are already steeped in the storied history of how desperately I want to feel like I belong to a special era of music. I just want to hoard them lovingly in my collection and play them as tickets to a place out of my existence. I want to admire their lovely variations and hues and blare them. That is all. So yeah, sell me a You Fail Me with a screenprinted cover for $30. Drop me a green BDM ritual for $15ppd. Thanks and yabba dabba doo.

if runtimes alone are anything to go by.... this album is poised to be an instant classic. but for real, this single is exciting. after rolo tomassi, khruangbin, and hop along have released the only elite-level albums this year (in my book, which no one cares about) I'll be honest, pretty excited for this album.

Gonna wait until I have this in hand to listen.

Clear and pink are my two favorite vinyl colors, but I've got to wait quite a bit before I buy any more records so I'll probably end up grabbing whatever Amazon has once this is out. I mean I COULD buy it, I'm not broke but I'd rather have that $30 while I'm on vacation because I'm gonna buy an irresponsible amount of edibles in Colorado.

Third Man will be putting out a surprise new release from a well-established artist next Friday 4/20. A new recording from an indie store fan favorite with a rabid cult following. The first run of this "standard edition" LP will be far from standard with the first 10k run pressed on 4/20 green vinyl. All detail concerning this release are fully confidential until midnight local time on 4/20.

I asked a buddy who works at a store if they got the mystery TMR record and he said yes and that it had a lot of language on it referencing 420 and weed and whatnot. I may be wrong, but if I was a betting man...

It's real. Checked with my store in the UK if they knew anything about it, and they said they'd ordered and were getting copies in. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I support the idea behind this thread - I've often thought of starting one for hardcore related releases. If this thread gets some steam then maybe I'll do that.

I have quite a few older ones as well, soooooooooo I'm not sure what quality issues YOU'RE running into, but I haven't. The oldest ones I have are ITC-003/005. All of those were great. The newest are 051/053 (full releases, not counting the most recent lathes). Those are equally as great, so please, tell me where the issues are.... You know what? Don't bother, because I won't read it. Your overall attitude and demeanor, especially over a few bucks is about as useful as a wet shart.

Totally understand. Just poking fun since the Topshelf sub gives you quite a bit for that annual fee, especially compared to some similar label subs. I could be wrong but I doubt whatever special variant subscribers get is enough to convince someone who isn't into Topshelf Records to buy their entire 2018 catalogue in one down payment. It sounds like it will just be a cool/fun secret for people who are already subscribed.
