I recently was asked to do a design for a David Bazan show, figured some of you may be interested in this! 16x20 4 color print. The 4th color is GLOW IN THE DARK, which is a hidden layer in the light. Really excited with how this turned out. Limited to 50, there were only 15 left after the show. Okay, since I've already opened mine, I figured I'd go ahead and post a photo of it! Here's what all I got: Beach House - Depression Cherry (Loser Edition, clear vinyl in velvet sleeve) Funko POP TV Leela figurine a really rad 50th anniversary Looney Tunes cup from 1990 some awesome stickers! a note with some info about the selection and some clues as to their identity. I absolutely love everything that I got, and honestly, the amount of thought that went into each part of the box made each thing better to me. Kudos on the Leela figure, I very recently started collecting vinyl figures to display on my bookshelf AND she's actually my fav Futurama character, so that's a win-win. And yes, I did mean that I collect drinking glasses and mugs from the 80s and 90s, so you were spot-on, haha. Also! I'd been meaning to pick that Beach House album up, so that was a very pleasant surprise! Also, based on the clues in the note, (from Michigan, same age, hangs out in a lot of the pop punk/ska threads, etc.), I'm almost positive that the person responsible for this lovely package was SmikeX13! Did I win?

// TOP 10 ALBUMS OF ALL TIME // So, last night I asked Small Talk what their Top 10 favorite albums of all time were. It made for an interesting discussion. Interesting to see what people are into, and it's to have more musical discussions on what is supposed to be a music website. (People from ST that already answered this, feel free to copy and paste.) There a few rules / stipulations that I put in place to try to keep this list on topic while you make it. Trust me, I know it's a tough one to make. It took me 3 hours to decide between an album, and pained me to go from 25 albums down to 10. But it might show you a little more about yourself, and you can learn about other people on this board. That, and we engage in discussions and critique people. Now, this doesn't mean be a hostile dick about it, but judge away people. Anyway, here are some things to consider while making your list: No repeat artists / bands. You can have associated acts. Ex: Two Sabbath albums, no. Sabbath, and Ozzy, that's fine. Album has to be older than 5 years old. Now this is coming from someone who is almost 30, so I don't know what the scale should be for 15yr olds making this list. You figure it out. It can be an EP / LP / Single / Comp. No greatest hits albums. If you have a greatest hits album as a favorite album you need to rethink your life. Try not to let this turn into a nostalgia / sentimental / most influential / pinnacle list . Those are all completely different lists. Now, this isn't a Desert Island in the sense that you feel the need for variety. Just list the 10 albums you can't live without. As you make this list ask yourself 'Can I live without this album?'. Your list doesn't have to be in order. Keep in mind these are 10 albums you could listen to on repeat until your death and you would not regret any choice. Preferred if you know how to air drum every album. Have at it, guys. I would much rather have a Eyes Like The Sky repress than infinite versions of this one. That isn't to say I won't be getting multiple copies of this album, but still. Looks like it is going to be Tri and US retail sunburst.

Fault in Our Stars is offensively bad in every way. If it had just been Willem Defaoe's character being mean to those shitty kids for two hours it would have been movie of the year.

W-X reminds me of the first couple White Fence albums with zero of the rock influence. Not entirely what I was expecting but am still digging it. Tim Presley is the man.

I tried to press this about five years ago. At first I was going to fund it myself, but when I realized it would need to be a double LP and how expensive licensing would be, I pitched doing a kickstarter to raise $2,500 (which is less than half), I would fund the rest. The band was for the pressing in general but their manager, after going back and forth, said no because it could be bad PR for the band if the kickstarter didn't reach its goal. I said they'd have no problem hitting it, then they said they're going to wait until the rights of the album divert to them in 2014 so they could do a proper remaster. Offer 400 copies for $100 each, there's your bad PR.

I was talking to a dude between bands at a show with my friend and he referred to us as "you cats," people in his anecdotes as "this cat," etc. I could stand it, but I thought it fit with people talking about terms of endearment. As far as what I can't stand, music edition: *is playing/listening to something remotely emotional* "What are you playing/listening to? It makes me wanna kill myself."
