not lucky, it's just a really good pressing. There is a just a vocal minority complaining. VMP has posted that they have had less than a 2% return/complaint rate which from what they say is better than any of their previous releases. This record has just drawn out a lot of crosley fans that like to complain.

if you as a seller receive a negative before a transaction has been completed, first politely request that the other party remove it. if that doesn't work, go to the feedback forum, state your case and request that it be removed. it is very important to be polite in all discogs exchanges because if you are rude or curse the moderators will always decide against you, even if you are in the right.

I think the vinyl industry as a whole would flow a lot more fluidly if they based all their order availability off of whether or not miracleandwonder is in the know.

Holy fucking shit, God bless the Observatory, I got a copy of the tour edition. I got the last one, some guy was gonna buy it, but I walked up and was like, "aww that's the last one?" And the guy buying it was like, "you know what, go ahead and have it, I was buying this one for a friend and I got one already." I thanked him immensely and if he's reading this thank you again. I also showed up an hour after doors open so that was just straight luck. Moral of this story is don't go to LA shows.

i mean discogs started out as a database to catalog electronic music releases. obviously the site has grown beyond that, but for someone who is maybe unfamiliar with the site doing research on it, i don't think its a crazy conclusion (albeit outdated) based on their history

Yup, for years it was a electronic music database so I can see the description making sense to some. Same way people call eBay an "auction site" even though I'm guessing less than a quarter of transactions are actually auctions at this point.

Weird. Just today I had to clear & delete two new posts by a new user. The posts were all written out in what looked to be Korean. It looked fishy so deleted them and immediately deleted the account and banned the IP.

They can leave negative if you cancel the order, but not if they just decide not to play. Worst negative feedback I have got on there was from a buyer who played the record at the wrong speed and then tried to claim I pressed the record wrong...it's crazy once he spun it at 45 rpm everything worked fine...

I'm actually a big press nerd being on the distrubutor/retail side. I agree with a lot of what birdwell says, IMO Gotta Groove is the best plant in the US (they also have two press operators who make amazing hand pours on the side https://www.instagram.com/waxmagerecords) There's a newer plant in Kansas called Quality Record Pressings that immediately started pressing for labels only, mainly Legacy and Drastic Plastic, they even do their own electro plating in house which is interesting.

I finally got around to seeing Rogue One. That was really a great movie and did a great job tying in to the original trilogy. Looking forward to watching it many more times. CANT WAIT FOR EP 8

That... Can't be why lol. How many leaks are vinyl rips?? They are usually v0 rips of CDs or 192kbps stream rips. Things leaked before the vinyl resurgence, and things without vinyl releases leak all the time. He couldn't have been working on this that close to release because there were day 1 CD releases nationwide. I don't know how TDE kept DAMN. Under wraps as well as they did, but, it had nothing to do with vinyl.

This thread prompted me to listen to all of that album... Kinda speechless at how little fucks is given by MK any more, even down to being bad Codeine "groovy bass jams" for 150+ minutes with so little variation and sooooo many callbacks as if this was the Captain America: Civil War chapter of SKM mixed with Magnetic Fields at his most alienated. I came close to buying it anyway precisely because this album seems so unpopular right now and the shelf-life of the songs seem to be six months which makes this an amazing time capsule of 2016 going into 2017.

Nice to see a (kind of) Psytrance thread on here. Since I live in India I grew up around the Psytrance scene especially as I would travel to Goa almost 2-3 times a year since it's pretty close by. I love the mid 90s Psy, but also the dark stuff like Dark Soho, etc. Been to some crazy parties back in the day at Hilltop, Bamboo Forest etc. Discogs is a great place to pick up some Psy on vinyl, i recently got some nice 12" singles and albums (Space Tribe, Logic Bomb, Ninja, etc). I did manage to snag Shpongle's Museum of Consciousness with the lenticular cover, which was pretty rad. Would love to get the earlier releases on vinyl, and of course some old school Infected Mushroom - not really dug much of their stuff after Converting Vegetarians, but their first few releases were top class. I also managed to snag the 12" of possibly my favourite Psy track of all time (the one that got me into the music), Spiritual Healing by Muses Rapt. Will follow this thread with eagerness. Boom!

But it's the amount of money they are charging that is cheating. Maybe it's the wrong word. I don't know. They're making a huge profit on this and getting away with it because of high demand, which is disrepectful to fans in my opinion. Last year I bought the Radiohead special edition and it was the same price. However, it was a double LP that came in a bound book with color artwork. To charge $32 for a standard and then throw a booklet and a slip case on it and call it deluxe is fine and all I guess, but to charge $43 for those extras is crazy. I mean it was discussed already when preorders went up. Just still blows my mind and left a bad taste in my mouth. Which sucks because I've enjoyed Waxwork releases these past few years and liked supporting them. That's my two cents on the matter.

I assume those are the same mastering as what I own. They are both from Parachute. If I had the choice again, I wouldn't buy it. The $80 that SSD is asking is crazy, considering the sound quality.
