I made it through the whole album while reading along with the lyrics. Every time Spencer screamed a little bit I kept telling myself that I wanted more but more never came. If this was any other band I don't think that I would give it another chance.

I obsessively keep track of all my paid orders, spreadsheet style. I've had to call out some never received. I'd like to set it and forget it but it's not possible, now that I have literally thrown money into a void, I have to be vigilant. Probably wouldn't happen with Frank Ocean. Probably.

Opinions and shit. I wasn't expecting the packaging to be so nice. I have now purchased 4 copies of this album, so it's not like I'm keeping it sealed for some heinous reasons. I bought this strictly as a novelty piece. A collectors item. I think I made it clear that I was not referring to the audio quality by saying I'm keeping it sealed. I think that this is a solid buy for anyone who collects Underoath records. I think this because it surprised me when I opened it and felt how nice the box is. The alternative artwork is nice. The packaging is solid. The weight feels like it was sturdier than most box sets, at least what I own. I kind of compared it to the Touche Amore 7" box sets that they put out which are just in glorified pizza boxes. Also, I don't need to have to defend my opinions to you. You're always such a Debbie Downer about everything so it doesn't surprise me that you picked apart my post just for the hell of it. Is this even a topic that you care about or did you just stumble in here to put other people down. I don't mean that facetiously, you seriously do this in almost ever topic on this board.

Totally forgot about this one, but just got the new Demon Dayz repress in the mail today. I grabbed the black version from Bullmoose. Will let you guys know how it sounds later.

So not to be rude, but how are you determining that it turned “really nice” and was “a solid buy” if you haven’t opened it up yet to examine the craftsmanship or quality of the pressing? I’m all for people keeping this Underoath album sealed and off their turntables, but I’m just curious what you’re gauging off of. Like, did you unbox it and hold it in your hands, and think to yourself wow I was expecting a light 7” case but this has some heft! I am impressed. This is a good product. I am content with the weight of this...? Doesn’t matter but would still enjoy hearing the thought process.

Haha, it’s possible I’m just not seeing the full picture here. But I just feel like anyone can troll a thread for an album, but any opinion they may have on it is basically moot. I have no horse in the Underoath race but it’s a rainy day and I’ve been stuck indoors all day for work. I’ve listened to 4 new albums released today, and I guess I was feeling adventurous with Underoath. It was 100% the weakest of the bunch – to zero surprise – but felt like a palette cleanser of sorts, I guess. I don’t know. I can share legitimate thoughts on it for what’s it worth, even though people have tried to call me out for defending albums that I try to discuss neutrally. (See: the latest Arcade Fire thread.) tl;dr – given how much I run my mouth on the boards, I can’t afford to not know what I’m talking about. But yes, the tone of your last few posts is accurate: I encourage no one to waste time on this album if you’re on the fence.

What am I missing here? Did you expect me to frequently pop in here and just heckle or talk shit about a record I wouldn’t explore? That’s not really how it works.

yeah it is definitely lacking from previous releases. I still enjoy the album, but not as an underoath album. Just pretending there was nothing before helps with the judgement. Just a bummer they left them out. i was at the album release party and the vibe i got from them was that they were just background to spencer and aaron. super nice guys though!

That's actually easy to do. Go to the Vinyl Records Page, and then to Records under $19.99. Then look in the address bar for where it says 1999, and change that number to 1499 or whatever, and that can be your new price criteria.

Wish I could find that purchase-able (I don't use Spotify)... personally, I'm not a fan of explicit lyrics. *shrug* Album is... different. Won't get into it, but not a fan this time around unfortunately. Still love the guys and respect them for "doing their own thing" though. And I've yet to see them live, so that's on my bucket list still.

Too many people caught up with an Underoath record in 2018 I guess. As for this album? As previously previously mentioned. Absolute masterpiece. My favorite so far. Can't wait to get the booklet/vinyl this afternoon

Holy shit that Ospreay/Villain match at Genesis was unreal. So many crazy/scary looking spots. Back with another question too: So am I missing anything major by not watching any of the ROH crossover matches? I mean... I’m aware that I’m missing some great matches. But by not watching, will it fuck up my NJPW experience? I guess storyline wise? Cause goddamn there just isn’t enough time in my days to add ROH to my schedule now too.
