  2. as a 32 year old married man with kids, AF2 was easily far and above my AOTY in 2016, esp lyrically. Being born in 1999 and hating Owen I can totally see how AF2 would seem like a meme. As a Mike Kinsella fan, it was my favorite work of his since Ghost Town

  7. I'm not one to believe that comeback albums are capable of tarnishing a band's former legacy but AF2 in a vacuum spits in the face of anyone who might've been a fan of AF1

  11. The best of the US original pressings is SFSGSW, "Precision" in the deadwax if I remember right, not that RIP and Peace sells.... sound bad just a bit less dynamic I guess, at least on my set-up.

  12. Why isn't the album the alternate versions? Most of them are so much better.

  13. considering Decay is about 14 years old, that seems unlikely unless the Woo'ing was coming from inside their father's balls.

  14. Liked these guys better when I didn’t hear them on the radio between Ariana Grande and Travis Scott songs. Fucking clean vocals havin sellouts. Worst Deafheaven album!

  15. Yeah, I mean whatever I'm not crazy about Test Pressings in general but I thought they were a cool little thing to add to my variant collection. Never saw anything special about them outside of that, and thought PV was on the same page... guess not.

  16. Snagged a copy of this from Discogs (for whatever reason VinylDigital said it was "not buyable") - great recommendation, really nice lo-fi.

  19. Just realized that when @simple_torture made his comment earlier that he said Veterans Day not Valentines Day, meaning his comment made a whole lot more sense than I originally thought. Also forgot that other places in the world have Thanksgiving holidays. I’m definitely spacing today. Must be all this talk of RSD in November. My brain doesn’t know how to respond

  23. Nah, I like it too, and I was actually alive when AF1 came out It's essentially an Owen album, and it has a few cringey moments, but it certainly isn't a bad record. Maybe you're hanging out with shitty people who have never watched a band grow beyond their original sound, or who feel like because they didn't follow the band from it's inception that they somehow have to make up for that by acting too cool for the reunion album.

  24. Just went back and listened to this again. I didn’t like it much the first couple of times I heard it but really liked it the third time for some reason. I’d definitely encourage anyone into hip hop instrumentals to spend some time with this one. It was hard to justify spending $35 on this($10 US shipping), but I know I’m going to regret not getting it. Thanks for sharing the link. Glad it motivated me to check this out again.

  25. up for the US at the sound of vinyl $30 plus SOV absurd shipping cost of $10 https://thesoundofvinyl.com/*/*/Rings-Around-The-World-2LP-7-Pink-Purple-Mixed-Edition/5ZLM0000000

  26. They were probably able to do the reissues of Fuzzy Logic, Radiator, Mwng and (presumably) Guerrilla on their own because those were originally released on Creation/Placid Casual. Rings was their first official Sony album so Sony probably currently own the rights to it and can license it out.

  27. The way they advertise their model is that they have a 30-day preorder period. So you can preorder at the end of the month. I also assume they round up though, to have a few extra in case of issues with shipments and might have a few copies make it to their webstore after the preorder period is up. Seems this has been the case with a few other pressings.

  30. Nice. Looks like they are using the original cut if Side C plays inside out. The original pressing is really well done.

  31. you are killing me, hahaha. I keep a hand-written list of all my online orders/preorders at work, update daily as I get shipping notifications/deliveries/etc. Sounds like you might need something of your own. Anyone else besides @lexicondevil gotten their EVOKEN shipping notification yet? Still waiting here. Just ordered the longsleeve though as well, one of the best Profound Lore has done this year https://profoundlorerecords.merchtable.com/apparel/evoken-longsleeve-shirt

  39. I'm out this year, unfortunately. I just moved to a new city and don't really have the time or energy to organize or even participate. After running and participating in this for many years, i've also seen a dramatic decrease of participants the last couple times to the point where it just doesn't seem as fun or worthwhile to stress myself out organizing it, especially having it so late already this year. I hope y'all have fun and hopefully enough people decide they want to do it. And I appreciate those of you who actually reached out to me about this.

  41. Nice try Lars, but the fans want to hear that mix.

  42. He could be like me, the only reason I'd get this would be to hear a new mix with bass. Already have an OG and don't care about all the live stuff or demos.
