Here's a recap of my day: 7:30am - A Wilhelm Scream - Woke up to a notification email that those represses went live during the night instead of what was expected to be 10:00am. Scrambled to my computer to get those. 11:00am - Saves the Day - Easy peasy. On to the next. 11:15am - State Lines - Got the Counter Intuitive newsletter that they had 50 copies of the State Lines record they were giving away for free to anyone who ordered the other state lines record they repressed. I own copies of both these already, but whatever, $15 for 2 records I love, I'll variant chase at that point. 1:00pm - Yellowcard - Had somewhere to be at 1:30 so I was driving. Pulled off the highway into a parking lot at 12:55 to fuck around on my phone for the drop. Internet connection sucked, website crashed, missed out. 2:00 - The Lawrence Arms - Had to order both the single colored LP and the shirt bundle, you know cause Fat is sneaky like that. Some might say (my wife) that I have a problem. I'm just hoping I can make it until dinner with out having to spend another $100 dollars.

lol yes let's raise the cost of vinyl even more by demanding that smaller labels who can probably barely front the money for the 1000 copies of an 18 year old repress in the first place put up additional cash for servers and internet infrastructure - or better yet force them to outsource their shopfront to Bandcamp or something so they make even less money 😅 It sucks, but, it's better than the alternative.

I do like anthologies and I watched this one yesterday. Really liked the third story about the guy with the sick wife - that elevator scene was awesome! Also really enjoyed the twist in the final story and closing scene. Good recommendation!

How, in the name of all that is fucking holy, do they manage to shit out a completely wasted LP that has the same garbage heap of nothingness and flaming rubbish that is "Mr. Muggs" on BOTH of its sides but they overlooked one of the most crucial and band/management feud starting songs that was wildly hyped by the band themselves prior to the release of the album Frances The Mute AND ITS THE TITULAR TRACK OF THAT WHOLE MONSTROSITY OF AN ALBUM? Bro... I really wonder what we are in for in terms of explanation here. Maybe they should have consulted fans about their own catalog before doing this. Like, why in the hell is "Mr. Muggs" even in this set? It only served the purpose of being SOME kind of sound that could be needlessly pressed into the gimmicky planchette that no one used to actually play with the ouija in the gatefold of Bedlam. I'm sure Omar would insist that its far more significant than that but we all know that's a lie.

Chill. I check the CDC site frequently and I work for a state government. We are currently still relying on individual States to disperse vaccines and so far some have incredibly slow rollouts or websites that are confusing for eligible users or become overloaded with registrations. Yes, it’s only early March and September is still far off, so anything is possible. I’m still entitled to my own personal doubts. I’ve got tickets to four Rage Against The Machine shows in August and I still think it will be postponed for a second time. I have the patience to wait another year for concerts. Do you?

I'm totally kidding. But you could pull it off in Buffalo, NY. My mortgage is roughing $1800 a month and I live in a nice area. I have a 30 year on a 320k house that I put about 100k down on when I bought it. I've never directly asked my mom but I'd image hers is around $600-$700 a month. The house I grew up in would probably sell today for 100-110k. 1500 sq feet or so. Not a bad neighborhood, but not really a good one. Just run down suburbs of Buffalo. You move to the east side of Buffalo, I guarantee you could cut the payment down to a lot less than $500. Buffalo is pretty awesome. It's cheap to live, the job market is just trash. My wife works remote for a company based on out Boston, so we live on a Boston salary on Buffalo cost of living. It's pretty sweet haha.

If you like anthologies, I'd recommend The Mortuary Collection. It's probably the best one from 2020. It's on Shudder. The final shot in Sleepaway Camp is unforgettable! If you've got a fondness for bad slasher sequels, Sleepaway Camp 2 is a pretty fun watch as well. I want to say 3 is entertaining too, but I don't remember for sure.
