  4. I agree. OG LP on first 3 sides. B-sides on side 4. The EQ on this record is solid, but having it pumped up I think would be a bonus. In when I see all the variants posted.

  6. Yes, you can download so many free tracks on mp3.com and even stream things live using RealPlayer. It’s like we’re living in the future! Though this kid I know called Shawn says he’s working on something way cooler... can’t wait to listen to some Metallica on there...

  11. https://www.kingsroadmerch.com/bad-religion/ Clear variant available, in addition to regular black and bundles with a shirt or hoodie. Have been saying for years this needed a remaster in the worst way. Was really really hoping for a deluxe 2LP with the b-sides, feel like that really would’ve been awesome to have all 19 songs from this session.

  16. Not a fan when Sacred Bones does this - the only thing unique about their mail order exclusive is the wraparound sleeve. $30ppd through them, or you can get the same thing (sans wraparound) for like $21ppd via Amoeba.

  20. Anyone know any good online stores to buy bootleg releases? Hip hop, punk, rock n roll -- all of it. I love bootlegs because I can get insanely priced out of print records for a reasonable price -- and honestly my experience has been pretty good with boots.

  21. Fuck that price tag. Are they serious? Does that album come with a blowjob?

  22. Single straight up apes JD. Get in line, Ceremony is already doing this to a tee.

  23. I wish discogs still let you sell them because 1. It’s be a lot easier to find some of these and B. I have some boots that are worth a decent amount. Luckily a few of my local shops get a lot of the hip hop ones in.

  26. I always see that bookers and am torn on getting it as i think in PA its a 65 dollar bottle i know nothing about. Would love to hear feedback. Bullet rye has been a go to for making this one drink i really like. Going to a friends house for a whiskey tasting tonight. Everyone is bringing a bottle between 30-40 bucks they have never had to share with the group. Hoping for some good stuff!

  27. Interesting... I always thought this album sounded pretty good. Very tight, snappy drums and bright guitars that fit those songs well. Maybe the production is a little dry, but IMO Recipe for Hate is more in need of a remaster. .... or any of the Brooks albums to reduce the ridiculous brickwalled drums.

  29. I’ve never listened to Drowse but that description is killer. It’s been a while since I’ve pre-ordered something from an artist I’m 100% unfamiliar with, but I think I may roll the dice on this one.

  30. I am kind of sad I went with the Ogre Blood Splatter or whatever from Stolen Body, the Tri Color looks so much better. On a side note I did get the Crane Records Test Pressing in the mail yesterday, I have not had a chance to play it yet, however it looks fantastic for a test pressing.

  33. Hi everyone! You probably remember me spamming the boards a few years ago with a self-indulgent project where I was able to get my album on limited vinyl. Last year I posted here asking to see if anyone was interested in contributing, and I had a chance to chat with a few folks about my music. Today I'm really excited to share my new album, Underwater Hotel, an orchestral indie pop/folk song cycle based around and directly responding to Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot [each of the nine songs directly corresponds to one of the songs on YHF - see if you can figure out which]. Mostly home-recorded but with 19 guest musicians, and filled with strings, horns, woodwinds, and lots of layers. Obviously influenced by Wilco, but also Beulah, Ryan Adams, Hayden, Broken Social Scene - I did my best to make this sound like it could have come out in 2002 or so. It's available to stream on Bandcamp, plus all streaming sites, and will be available on limited CD (for those of you who still have CD players! https://danielfield.bandcamp.com/album/underwater-hotel

  39. Old stock or repress, this is such a questionable/mysterious release. From the straight copy of the artwork to no label taking credit for reissuing it to the limited availability and quick takedown on Midheaven, there’s probably a really good story about where this came from out there somewhere...

  43. Hello, just thought The Duke (and others, maybe) might like to know that Salty Dog (the lava lamp splatter) just put up 3 new variants limited to VERY small quantities. Venom Strike (green with black and white splatter) /25 $50AUD Colour Burst: Acid Wash (blue and red, looks like a color-in-color or even a blob type run) /13 $35AUD Drawn & Quartered (blue and red again, looks like a clean bi-color but it's not just half and half) /7 $35AUD ++australian shipping, obviously. If any of you held out and still want a color that's close to the cover, these look pretty good, all 180 gram - be aware, I believe the cover is an alternate green to the original art, so any color-matching to the cover is kinda pointless since the cover looks different. Oh well. I have issued a ban on any more Polygondwanaland stuff for myself, so have at it.
