  1. https://moonweather.bandcamp.com/ EZ buy Discovered them on vinyl moon volume 030 that just came out. Solid indie stuff. For $5 you get a colored record and 16 page art booklet? No idea why they're selling them at virtually $0 profit but hey, good for us I guess.

  2. As Swervedriver did, they didn't write a project timeline, so you really don't know when they are going to send the record to you...six months, one year?? Don't like this way to manage pledging....

  5. This proves our theory that the 2nd pressing was the FIRST pressing and they tried to cover up this lie by telling us the real 2nd pressing was first, thinking we'd believe it. But then, the real 2nd pressing got delayed so the fake 2nd pressing actually became the real 1st pressing which is now the real 1st pressing and is shipping first, which seems way too convenient and makes me think that there were actually two 1st pressings all along and the leak of the fake 2nd pressing first is just a diversion to the fact that we are close to finding the truth.

Update: kid's 10.5 months old. He's a normal baby (as much as one can be with me as a father). Thanks for all the advice so far. I'm no expert, but I think we're getting there. Here's a picture from our first record shopping trip

  7. How cool would it be if VMP did The Wombats - A guide to love, loss and desperation. Wrong thread for this post but admit it... It'd be really cool.

  13. https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/failure-lp5?referrer=carousel_project_launched They're really not trying this time. A $30 standard weight vinyl option (which will be cheaper in shops) and a $70 signed heavy weight option. No colours and no 50 'test pressings'. For my sins, I have pledged both times and the customer service has been bad both times. I see no reason not to wait for the proper release.

  14. What are your thoughts on the album? How do you feel about the sequencing of the tracks? Do you feel like the record’s hooks are about as consistent as the prior albums’, or would you say Hop Along have broken new ground and substituted some of that accessibility to challenge themselves (and the listener) this time around? Are we supposed to discuss 2 singles for months on end? Has this leaked and no one’s mentioned anything? I welcome you to scroll to the top of the page and reevaluate the name of the forum you’re posting on.

  22. 1. Look up the boxer Jack Johnson for the inspiration for the name. Just checked out that song and god damn, that's unfortunate. Song blows, band blows. 2. Not witty, necessary. Pretty much every other variation of the name was taken. 3. Present this pineapple and maybe we can get cracking.

  28. Indeed. I actually prefer the version that was put on Deadwing as a bonus track over the version on Lightbulb Sun too. It is a very good song.

  32. You might be annoyed too if you were prepared and purchased in the first minutes of the early release (you were the pig who built his house with bricks) and then found out the "limited edition" item you ordered was doubled in run count, that you would be receiving your item LATER than those who ordered hours after you, AND you would be getting a less rare/special version of the item (you built your house with bricks - other pigs ran in, kicked you out and locked the door behind them).

  33. i haven't really followed anything about it since i had received my first batch copy. the people in the fb group though seemed very surprised and pissed off about the 2nd batch not being numbered though. it's a pretty annoying group, i should just leave it. haha

  36. Just got my Spacelab Namco record. The packaging is super cool. You’re able to switch out the front of the jacket with the sleeve and the booklet it comes with. I was fortunate enough to get a Pac-Man variant as well.

  38. Never too early, but also irrelevant – everyone knows that RSD contains a good chunk of hot garbage that no one wants. Looking forward to seeing no one buy that one next year.

  40. I don't know if anyone has mentioned Zhrine yet, but I'm really enjoying Unortheta. The album, as a whole, has a lot of different dynamics going on, so it's a solid listen. There are a bunch of variants out there and most are limited to 200 or less. Scored a red /125 for $30, which seemed fair. They are from the land of Sigur Ros. Bummed I missed their tour.
