I caved and bought all four variants. I picked up the Apocolypse with the live stream ticket, and the other three on MerchNow. I always kick myself for not picking up the first zombie EP pressings so I wasn’t going to miss out on this one.

I enjoy Phoebe's music when the mood is right, but I can sympathize with anyone who would say her stuff can be a snooze. That's an opinion and I can respect it, in an actual conversation or exchange of meaningful dialogue. We're talking about an instance of neither. I saw that TDWP thread get bumped this morning, abuzz with comments of a new EP. I could have very easily popped in there to ask why anyone is listening to Hot Topic-core in 2021. But I see no real benefit from doing so, nor am I starved enough for attention to consider baiting replies with a contribution like that. It'd be one thing if someone openly asked the board how they felt about Phoebe's music. But uninitiated it's just weird. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should, etc.

yes, value judgments are a thing. just because your judgment of an artist's music is positive don't make you right, necessarily. people who question why others post dissenting views on a very hyped artist need to do a little introspection. responding by questioning why someone even posted a negative take assumes there is no value in presenting a non-positive value judgment on anything... which is obviously insane.

I would assume that they all have the same booklet. Solid State really has been doing a great job with their vinyl this last year or two. There were a couple of terrible represses but those are the outliers.

I would think the booklet is included. Sounds to me like a fancy way of promoting the lyric sheet/book that comes with most records

Really wish I could hear a song before committing to an $180 purchase but here we are, and hear we are not.

I ordered this like two weeks ago, got it a few days ago, sounds great.

I got shipping confirmation, with tracking number! And by the time I got the email, it was out for delivery within 2 hours. So... Ill take that as a win? All things considered? Not sure if was mentioned in this thread at all, but the box itself is kinda shiet quality. Its as if they originally were going to screenprint direct on the cardstock but had to bail on that plan.. and just laserjet printed an image on a piece of paper and like adhered it to the cardboard, and poorly at that. Speaking of paper, the innersleeves all came pre torn from the factory and are literally paper thin. Records were all in there though, and I suppose that's the important part. Everything sounds "good not great" as I would have expected, given the original master. Overall I think its an alright value, considering the relatively low asking price. Thought this is clearly no definitive edition collectors item type set. (oh also, even though TOCS is not as artful a masterpiece as DTGL for example, the album still RIPS and is a total banger. Haters gana hate)

Finally after all these years we get Mr. Muggs in full studio quality on 180g black audiophile vinyl. I am glad they left Frances the Mute and Rubin's Concertina to fit this masterpiece in the set twice.
