  1. The Chris Bellman mastering of Lateralus on black vinyl would make me happy as a pig in shit. You can hear how good it should be on the pic disc, but I want to hear his job on straight black wax. Maybe they got CB to do all the others as well? PLEASE, no picture discs, no colors, just good old boring black.

  3. Ordered. Hopefully it will be good. I think what makes IAMX so good is Chris' voice. Not sure if the music will hold up on its own. Also, they need to release the first 3 albums on vinyl already. What's taking so long?!

  4. I don't remember the original pressing sounding bad, and the CD sounds great, nerds.

  6. Agreed. Plus, filling an extra side is just added cost too. If anything, I'd rather things with a blank D side just be cut at 45 RPM if possible and utilize that extra side.

  7. Last night I watched "They Look Like People" which wasn't incredible, but not too bad for a low budget movie. I wish they had pushed the physiological horror a little further. The ending was great though!

  9. Mods feel free to move if this in the wrong forum since it's not about a specific release or anything newsworthy. Just asking the question, what is the one record that you want the most but have been unable to find whether it's due to price, hasn't been pressed, or other reasons. I guess what I'm asking is, what single record would bring you the most personal joy right now. Or... What was the one record that you spent forever hunting and eventually found.

  10. finally...will come out in europe 12/4/15 The black deluxe box with hot foil stamping is available in a strictly limited edition (each box is individually numbered - the number is lasered onto the back inlay) - including 14 x 180gr LPs ("Made in Germany" - Optimal Pressing). All 6 studio albums are included as 2-LPs in gatefolds (partially also containing booklets or posters), with 4 outputs available on vinyl for the first time. Furthermore, Rammstein treat their fans to a double LP featuring rarities especially compiled for this occasion: ear candy for the Rammstein aficionado! All albums were remastered for the first time and exclusively for this vinyl edition, they will not be availiable separately, but only in this box. 12. So why not just play the CD then? I don't think anyone was griping about the way the CD sounds; it's more about the "remaster" just being plucked from the CD's files. Makes it kind of pointless to scoop up the vinyl if it's going to sound identical, with the quiet, periodic pop and hiss.

  13. That's ideal too. But I like artists who'll throw something a little more experimental or tongue-in-cheek on a side nonetheless.

  14. It's obviously playing into the narrative he's creating. It didn't just happen to land on there as filler. It's intentionally cut on that side for a reason.

  18. Holy fartz, Batman, that is cheap! Going to search right now! Thanks a ton of that tip. Semi related, there is no proper Prog thread on this site that I can find. One should be started I think! Edit: You mean the single version and not the 4 LP version? A link if you could please!

  20. While not the Fish version of the band, this just popped up on the radar. Worth buying for 'Ocean Cloud' alone, since it wasn't on the previous vinyl pressing. Older pressing is rather pricey now too I believe. Three LP's. Pretty cool! https://burningshed.com/formats/formats_vinyls/marillion_marbles_vinyl-box-set

  34. Yeah I noticed that. It sold like 200 in 5 minutes. I had to laugh though since I was there at exactly 2PM. SS originally had it priced at $17 and it went up to $18. Always changing prices over there.

  38. Just so we're on the same page, I don't think anyone was doubting whether or not these would sell. The only questionable part of the thread is the integrity of taste for those buying them in 2017. We don't have to look much further than the first page of the board to see garbage pre-orders and reissues sell out very regularly.

  39. The new track (Refuge) is just brilliant. Completely redeems Permenating in my eyes. Really looking forward to this album now. AND I managed to score a ticket for the signing in Oxford Street, London. Only 350 tickets, with an exclusive four track acoustic set with SW and Ninet Tayeb!

  43. Has anyone heard anything about Taking Back Sunday's Louder Now? I thought they were going to release a colored variant on their website, but it's just standard black for the preorder apparently. But wondering if HT is getting an exclusive. Either way, I'm so excited to finally have that album.
