  4. I do think they're overrated on the boards, but you non-ironically post in The Used Live & Acoustic thread. You have forfeited your right to post any credible opinion about anything music related for the remainder of the year.

  13. Your picture replies are always top notch, Waxxx* WTF? Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Disgraced former pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli has responded to rapper Ghostface Killah's recent insults by threatening to erase the Wu-Tang Clan member from a rare album he bought from the group for $2 million....Shkreli reiterated his demands Thursday, tweeting, "As mentioned in my video, I expect a written apology, @GhostfaceKillah. At least 500 words, no grammatical errors and Shaolin stays intact." He had previously tweeted, "Don't cry, Ghost. All rap careers come to an eventual end."

  28. Vinyl Debut of the album "Shadow Zone" by Static-X. Single LP on 180 gram GREEN & YELLOW vinyl. Limited edition of only 500 copies. Including Insert. Shadow Zone is the third album by Static-X, released in 2003. Marked by many personnel and stylistic changes, the album sports a much more melodic sound than any other work in their catalog, while still staying in the confines of their Industrial Metal and Nu Metal sound. In 2002, singer Wayne Static was contacted by singer Jonathan Davis of the Nu Metal band Korn, to sing on a song he had written for the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack: "Not Meant for Me". Static's work with Davis greatly influenced the direction of the Shadow Zone album. While the band found success with their Platinum-selling debut album Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999, dissatisfaction grew in the band in creating the follow-up, Machine in 2001. Eventually, original guitarist Koichi Fukuda was replaced with Tripp Eisen. Work on Shadow Zone started in early 2002, and would span well over a year. Producer Josh Abraham was brought in, known for working with more commercially melodically mainstream bands such as Staind, Filter and Velvet Revolver. http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/static-x-shadow-zone-ltd.html

  29. They're no longer around, no. They disbanded in 2013 and then frontman Wayne Static died in 2014. This is an older album that is being pressed to vinyl for the first time.

  33. https://www.vice.com/read/why-is-martin-shkreli-still-talking : Because of the pending trial, he's not allowed to travel beyond suburban Westchester County—which is where he spent New Year's Eve with friends—and doesn't often go home to Brooklyn. With the Wu-Tang album playing in the background, Shkreli says he vacillates between wanting to destroy the record and dreaming of installing it in some remote place so that people have to make a spiritual quest to listen. "I'm not just the heel of the music world," he says. "I want to be the world's heel."

  34. Three decks I have on my wall. On the left is one that Jason Adams rode/gave to me. A local skatepark in Erie won a CCS contest, so Jason and Keith Hufnagel came and did a demo. I was very young and asked Jason for his deck, he said "as long as you take the trucks off, it's yours". It's a Six Gun, his short lived Black Label offshoot. The middle was give to me by Jamie Thomas. I was first in line for a signing in the mid 2000's. I waited for hours to be first cuz Zero was my favorite brand and Jamie was one of me two favorite skaters. He and the rest of the team walked into the shop, and he went behind the counter with his board. He took the trucks of his old deck, set up a new one, and handed me the old one. I had the whole Zero/Mystery team that was there sign it. The last one is an old Zero deck I had. I had originally taken that to the Zero signing to have them sign it. One day I was at the skatepark near my house in Albuquerque, when all of the sudden a huge bus pulls up, and our walks Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Kerry Getz, Mike V, Alex Chalmers. It was the first Tony Hawk Secret Skatepark Tour. They all skated for a while. I got the chance to talk to all of them for a bit because there weren't many people there since it was unannounced. I used a payphone to call my mom and have her bring the Zero deck to have them sign. Talking to Rodney Mullen was very surreal. We were talking about caspers, he was trying a half cab Casper - 360 flip out, I had been trying a half cab Casper, and we kinda raced each other to the trick, so on the deck he signed "Next Time I'll Beat You"! Me and Jamie Thomas Me and Rodney Mullen. There weren't camera phones then, so I didn't get a proper picture, but there were shots of us together in the Tony Hawk Secret Skatepark Tour DVD.

(I don't particularly care but it's suuuuuper shitty to ignore the question. Good thing I have no interest in buying the soundtrack to like Pixels or Ride Along 2 or whatever on vinyl)

  39. hahaha. it was a very WTF moment for sure. oh and i actually just remembered that i was so completely mind blown by the fact that one could actually lose a record in a couch, that of course, proper documentation needed to happen. https://www.instagram.com/p/Y8ic-bu0V4/?taken-by=themeconspiracy

  41. I mentioned in another thread: Last week on Discogs, I sold a sealed original press of Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet that I have owned since new (1986). The buyer wanted me to open it before shipping to prevent damage. I opened that puppy up (it was kinda exciting) and it was just as I assumed. Perfect condition. No warps, no imprints left from the inner sleeve. No nothing. Keep your records in the correct environment and they will not warp.
