  1. Mar 11, 10:20 PM EST Kendrick Lamar Cancels World Tour BY DAVID S. SPUDNICK Associated Press LOS ANGELES, CA -- A spokesman for American musician Kendrick Lamar has today revealed the hip-hop star plans to cancel all future tour dates as he tries diligently to keep up with demand for his newly released vinyl record album, made available as a signed limited edition from the rapper’s official web store. “We originally were going to offer a mere two thousand” the 28 year old from Compton told the AP “but when the orders started pouring in, I felt I owed it to the fans that made me the success I am today to continue to autograph and all the kids out there who desire an autographed copy get their wish.” The pre-order count currently sits at 4.8 million copies, with a reported 30,000-40,000 additional preorders coming in per hour. A Top Dawg Entertainment spokesman has confirmed several addition servers have been added to their web store to meet demand for these signed copies. In related news, Mr. Lamar has also revealed he has scrapped any follow-up albums as he focuses his attention on working through the piles of albums still left unsigned.

  2. Oh yeah, that reminds me. I ended up with a spare Life is Strange record. I'll give it away on here soon, once i work out how to do it fairly. (Please don't PM me asking for the record - when I give it away, I want to make sure that everyone has a shot)

Dude. I'm the same guy who about 2 years ago sent you photos of a box that arrived with two totally torn/split open corners. 3 of the 5 records hanging out of one of the corners had magically managed to worm their way through your bullet proof paper mesh covering & get significant tears on two of them with pretty gnarly bends on all 5 of them. You know that sick to your stomach feeling you get when you are super disappointed after waiting 3-4 months for something you expect to be awesome to arrive & instead it shows up totally fucked up? Well I had that feeling when the guy at UPS handed me this box. I even took photos PRIOR to opening the box because the damage was so impressive. I emailed you the photos & was super polite about it all & you acted slightly put off by my simply asking if you had any extra sleeves. After bitching at length about how hard and expensive running a label by yourself is & my only having asked for 3 sleeves, you charged me $20 for them. Cool. I then sent you $20 for the sleeves. AFTER I sent the money, you then told me I had to wait until I ordered more records from you so you could include the sleeves with that order & not have to pay for shipping the sleeves separately. Awesome. Whatever. I totally realize I'm an idiot for continuing to order from you. But maybe next time you refer to people as shitting on your releases simply because they criticize the amount you charge for media mail, you should consider that maybe that person has dealt with you before & has a reason for being a bit bitter/critical with how you do things. My current order with you is #7879 & is for one copy of the Perturbator "The Uncanny Valley" clear 3xlp box. I would greatly appreciate it if you cancel/refund this order. While you're at it, you can look at all the other stuff I've ordered from you over the years without a single complaint other than the damaged sleeves I mentioned above. Lastly, you can take solace in the fact that there will be one less person in the world with a reason to "sh*t" on one of your releases ever again.

  6. From what I have understood, eating healthy (right amount of calories) goes a long way. Combining that with a couple, or three, walks a week is even better. And who says you need the gym to work out? I haven't been to the gym in ages, I always work out at home. 5 minutes is better than no minutes too, as long as you warm up, so you don't hurt yourself.

  10. smash the windows Mischief Brew’s debut LP, long out-of-print, has been given a new coat of paint! We've re-released the album on 180 gram vinyl, completely remastered from the original tapes by Carl Saff. “Smash The Windows” is a carnival-punk whirligig, a menagerie of the bizarre combining anarcho-punk with Eastern-European folk, Django-esque swing, Beat-era jazz, Celtic balladry, and straight-up anthemic rebel music that somehow pulls off a mix of The Pogues, Utah Phillips, Chumbawamba, Morphine, Subhumans, Motherhead Bug, Tom Waits, and some kind of dusty fairground organ that you smashed a bottle of whiskey against. Recorded in Brooklyn at Vibromonk Studios in 2004 by Danny Shatzky and Tamir Muskat (Firewater, Gogol Bordello), this is more of a musical soundtrack, with characters and settings, than a traditional punk record. It also features a slew of guest appearances by members of Balkan Beat Box, World/Inferno Friendship Society, Leftover Crack, The Citywide Specials, and more. Includes a digital download of the album, plus unreleased outtakes. Songs: 1. The Reinvention Of The Printing Press 2. Citizens Drive 3. Lightning Knock The Power Out 4. Nomads Revolt 5. The Lowly Carpenter 6. Ten Thousand Fleas 7. Swing Against The Nazis 8. From The Rooftops 9. The Gypsy, The Punk, And The Fool (A Tale) 10. Roll Me Through The Gates Of Hell 11. Ain't It The Life? 12. A Liquor Never Brewed 13. Departure Arrival 14. Bag Of Pepper (Digital Bonus Track - Outtake) 15. The Lowly Carpenter (Digital Bonus Track - Acoustic Mix, Outtake) smash the windows

  12. Hello VC! Bits and pieces of my vinyl collection is listed for sale, which you may peruse via Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/seller/auralclerk/profile All $2.99 records are $2 each when you purchase 10 or more! All records have undergone the Spin-Clean process, with the exception of those released within the last couple years (because they were/are visually and aurally pleasing to me). All $2.99 records are $2 each when you purchase 10 or more! The list will be updated in rather short intervals, with more to come... More of the recent releases have been added (ex: Mondo soundtracks, Sub Pop) to the inventory. Also letting go of the metal stuff (ex: Anthrax, Slayer, Black Breath, 80's Combat/Roadrunner/thrash related)... I also have a particular soundtrack or sale, or trade, if you're interested. The Brown Bunny (a film by Vincent Gallo) on orange transparent vinyl from 2003. It's sealed. Asking $40. http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Brown-Bunny-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/release/669395 I also open to trading for other records, more along the lines of bleeps and blurps (house, techno, etc.). Serious offers are always welcome. Thank you!

  13. This TJT release is gonna be so awesome! The test presses are approved and the actual records should be available in the next month or so. I can't wait to share all of the details on this one! In the meantime, we also have a CD release coming up from a band names Glassfield. Ex-members of Lights At Sea formed a band that sounds like Hum and Torche had a three way with Young Widows. More on that in the next two weeks!

Orrrr..... $10 - Just the record and a unique lil square painting that will fit inside the sleeve or something to that extant (there's only gonna be 10 so each one will be unique).

  30. I never really understood the need for the dividers. Don't most of you know your collection well enough to where you can find the "P" or "J" section rather quickly? I can see the need for the dividers in stores obviously, just not in personal collections.

  47. Sincerely consider this one of the best moments in musical history....getting caught/called out on being nothing more than a dancer lip-synching to heavily auto-tuned backing tracks and instead of trying to push forward with a career, she realized she was a clown, danced off stage as a clown, and let that be that. That incident kept her from spewing out album upon albums of insipid radio pop bullshit....hopefully made her re-evaluate her life as well. It'd be rad to think that some super fan of hers, like worshipped her, completely made said-fan reevaluate their musical tastes in finding out their idol was a fraud....and pushed said super fan into seeking out legit music as a result........one could only hope that was the outcome from all of her fans An almost perfect moment in the history of music in my opinion
