    Record Store Day 2017

I skipped this year as there was nothing good being released but my neighbor came home with a car filled up rsd stuff and says he plans on flipping. I was like wtf. You think you know a guy then they go and do that. Smh.

  5. To conclude my story: I gave up the #1 spot, went home and slept, ordered the one 7" I wanted, played Zelda with my kid and am now going to Home Depot for wood to build fossil hunting sieves so we can go shark tooth hunting tomorrow. Big win.

    Record Store Day 2017

This will probably get lost in the depths of this thread, but UK stores put their stuff up next weekend (I think it's Midnight UK time Friday to Saturday). Banquet Rise Resident Drift Crash Piccadilly Rough Trade Monorail (maybe) and many more. Some go straight onto Discogs or Ebay (Big Sparra and Andy's Records Aberystwyth are two that spring to mind). Personally, I would avoid Banquet for a number of reasons. Everybody goes there (which means more people fighting over the items) and this used to slow their website down to the point of being unusable (Rough Trade can be similar). They have a new website this year so we'll see how it holds up. I also believe from RSD purchasing experience that they oversell and don't fulfil orders claiming they have been sent and lost when they actually didn't have the stock to fulfil all their orders. You get your money back, but you don't get the record. I've also had a glitch with Rough Trade when two items disappeared from my order. It was impossible to show when they disappeared as Rough Trade don't put what you bought in their confirmation emails. Norman were not allowed to participate today, but may get some stock to sell next weekend. I know that they are popular here. I like Norman, Crash and Resident.

    Record Store Day 2017

Another thing about RSD Ebay sales: there are some vigilante / activist buyers out there who deliberately f--- with the flippers. These guys have no intention of really buying the overpriced title. They register with new names to Ebay and commit to buy expensive pre-order items, but then they do not pay. The seller has to wait for 48 hours before filing his non-paying complaint, and he has to wait two more days before he can cancel the order and re-list. In the meantime, RSD has come and gone and the prices have dropped sharply. Do this enough times and the flipping will stop ...

  13. Keep your eyes peeled on 1-2-3-4 GO!'s online store tomorrow morning. They had a ton of SDRE there and I doubt will have sold out of all of it by 8pm tonight (when they close) They put the leftovers the next morning on their online store. http://catalog.1234gorecords.com/ Quick edit: if anyone can pick up an extra Space Jam (or happened to get an extra) I will love you forever. 1234 only let me get one and I had already promised my friend I would get him one since he wanted it more than I did and now I kind of regret it LOL.

  16. My buddy and I woke up at 4, drove an hour and a half to soundgarden in Baltimore. At 615 we were in the 30s in line. I wanted space jam, he wanted marcy playground. They said they got no marcy's and space jam was long gone before we got up there. Went to a 2nd store that had normal inventory to look at while waiting in line. While we were doing that someone cut the line in front of us and one other guy. We watched him grab the last marcy right in front of us. Probably won't waste my time with RSD again, just try online. Needless to say we're still looking for those if someone could me out let me know, thanks!

  24. I used to post in this thread pretty frequently a few years ago. Looks like it slowed down a bit since then. I figured I'd post my story here anyway because this is a wrestling thread on a music forum. If anybody watches/is familiar with Progress Wrestling and knows who Toni Storm is, she is using my music as her entrance theme now. Progress sent out a message on their Facebook a month or so ago saying they were looking for Indy artists for music that they could use in promo/video packages and potentially entrance themes. I got in touch and suggested a specific song to them but told them if there was anything on the album they liked to let me know. A few days later, they told me Toni Storm picked one of the tracks as her entrance theme! She came out to it at Progress Chapter 46 and it fucking ruled. She also used it in Orlando at Wrestlemania weekend during the first overseas show Progress has ever done. It's pretty fucking cool to be able to see one of the best women wrestlers in the world come out to the ring using music that I made. Dana Fowler And The - Blood Suckers /\ That's the song she picked. Horror Story /\ It's off of this album I'm pretty stoked about it. (also streaming on iTunes and Spotify, blah blah blah) Thanks for reading this shilly post!

  27. SPRING CLEANING. Below are some items priced out from the collection that I'm down to part with in a heartbeat. You'll find Records / Tapes / CDs / Music Equipment / Stereo Equipment. Prices do not include shipping. Down to make some deals for buying in bulk. The time has also come for me to start entertaining offers on everything within my collection. Some stuff I won't part with, but I promise that I won't bite, and I'm totally down to hash out anything with you if it makes sense. I need to pay for a vehicle that I just purchased as well as some touring endeavors for later this year. As far as trades are concerned - I'm looking to re-build my guitar effect pedal setup from the ground up. Will gladly trade items for pedals. I'm looking for strymon, earthquaker, electro-harmonix, etc. I'm also looking for one of those more "custom built" pedal boards that are on a slant with a case. 33. I'm not so sure what's good for RSD anymore. I always used to go to Easy St. Records in Lower Queen Anne, but it closed up a 4-5 years ago. I'm guessing Sonic Boom in Ballard or Every Day Music on Capitol Hill would be solid bets. Easy St. Records in West Seattle would probably be good, but you're looking at a trek.
