  20. Finally got mine, a little more beat up than I'd like but I can live with it. The box it came in wasn't beat up so I think it was damaged at some point during production.

  21. Very chillwavey, sounds kinda like Causers of This mixed with the song structures (and clear vocals) of Anything in Return. Definitely great album, after first listen I'd say I rank it as my 4th favorite Toro LP. I am very partial to Anthing and What For so those are at the top, but this one is just a tad lower than Underneath the Pine. I'm sure I will like it a lot more on repeated spins though!

    Any comic book readers?

I think it might be my favorite Alan Moore work behind Watchmen. Its not a typically comic as there are long passages at the end of each issue. The passages are written from the protagonist's point of view and are good at explaining some things you might've missed in the issue. Also, if you're gonna pick Providence up, then you also need to read Neonomicom first. Its technically a 4 book series with Neonomicon and the 3 Providence books.

  27. agreed! You're good. I actually like this artwork better than any of their other Jaws posters but I'm still not gonna get it. edit that no one asked for: I'm not going to the get the poster (thats already sold out) I already preordered the vinyl, I mean its John Williams, i just read my OG copy is a german rerecording so this is technically the first legit pressing.

  31. This is a great pickup if you don't already own it. I mean come on, there is an acoustic cover of Agnostic Front's "Society Suckers" and a Raybeez tribute song. FFO Quicksand, Rival Schools, Vanishing Life, etc.

  32. Watched it this weekend, not bad. the ending was pretty cool. Last night we watched "Curve" with Juiliana Hough and the dude who plays jay Garrick on the Flash, was surprisingly a decent thriller, id recommend it.

  33. Maybe they should have done a deluxe 'The Fragile' reissue 7 LP boxset that included Deviations with expanded artwork, proper box etc and charged $150 - $200 for it. I'm sure it would have still sold a bunch of copies. $80 for Deviations on its own is pretty steep for what you are getting.

  38. That's a bummer. Mine had a tiny bit of noise in a couple spots, but nothing crazy an not all the way through. Hope you get a nice pressing if you get a replacement. Pretty terrific though. My thoughts on Beach House for the most part anymore though are, "Yup, sounds like Beach House."

  39. A few thoughts since I am just catching up on this thread: 1.) A couple of these shows had already sold out. I (obviously) don't have access to their sales numbers, but the response was strong in enough markets that they nearly doubled the city count after first announcing the tour. 2.) Someone said that Brett's solo albums were overpriced?! I fucking made each of those by hand and they had some of the most unique packaging you've ever seen. Anyone who got a copy got it for a song as far as my tired hands are concerned! 3.) If this is too expensive for you, you should pick up a copy of Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat from me right here: http://www.mindovermatterrecords.com $26 bucks for a 2xLP in a gatefold jacket that unfolds twice, extends to over 4 feet long and housed inside of a screen printed, hand numbered jacket. 4.) I am pretty close with Brett. He is one of the nicest dudes I've ever met. He and the band members get along so well, and a day spent on any social media shows how close they all interact (and have for years)
