Is no one going to ask why this was posted? This is the puzzling cherry atop a clusterfuck sundae, for me.

  11. This came today. Brand new 2xLP! Seems the seller fixed the price though. They have another one listed but its $23.74 not $8.96. But they honored my order!

  20. Bite your tongue. Fall Of Efrafa are not a post rock band. They don't follow that boring wankery.

  21. I read somewhere else that it's like a fire extinguisher because it's a good record to have on hand, but you hope you never need it. I agree with that.

  23. Was expecting the 2xLP to arrive today but guess it got held up. It's OK. Did get the New Noise issue with the flexi.

  27. I say this as a biased VMP subscriber, but I actually find their exclusives to me quite the opposite of Newbury. A lot of them are great new releases and it seems to me like they put a lot of time into selecting them. And their pricing is usually in line with, maybe a couple bucks more, than you can find the standard releases for. Newbury seems to re-press albums that are readily available for cheap and really jacks up the price.

  28. Watching the movie tonight. I still relate to it. It's still great. I still love it. And still a great soundtrack.

  29. They've been dropping some hints lately, and just posted the below. So... let's get this baby rollin'. T-shirt: https://store.qotsa.com/products/shatter-q-tee My #1 most anticipated anything right now.

  30. You can't listen to the color. I'm a fan of black vinyl in most cases also. You're in the wrong hobby if you are buying records as an investment.

  34. It's been OOP for ages and fetched triple digit prices. Really?

  35. Someone asked the band on their FB post and they replied that it's 1,000 worldwide. No word on pricing. But they urged fans to have their records stores order it for RSD.

  36. That'd be cool. Definitely would bring resubscribes and new subscribers. I'll be sure to try and get some of those sweet referrals off that one too ;-)

  37. What's going to be interesting is that because VMP ships over a couple of days people will probably get their albums and list them on Discogs and prices will probably drop by the time some of these Ebay orders are even shipped.

  38. Collectors Choise was def the lenticular cover with buttercream 2xLP. Got it from them two days ago.

  39. You're not wrong, and I think they thrive off that. I can count the number of Newbury exclusives I have on one hand, and they're all now worth [even] more than I reluctantly paid for them, so I get it. Their pricing is hot trash, and I just want to aimlessly complain about it... while also praying that they don't pioneer a new pricing platform for other labels to greedily embrace.

  40. As an avid pot smoker who is very into music, I really almost never mention combining the two. It seems cliche and jam band level to be like "You gotta listen to it stoned, maaaaaan" But this is seriously satisfying to listen to stoned. I listened through a 2nd time after smoking a bowl and sat frozen for the entirety, only moving to flip/change the records. Edit: Oh shit, shout out to Deer and Juan getting their pics re-instagramed by Bannon.

    Song missing...?

the first version of horse with no name was omitted because while the band was on tour prior to the album release, the drummer's grandmother accidentally named the horse they wrote the song about. fearing it would be a false interpretation of the song's true meaning, it was pulled last second. it seems like you may have one of these copies, if so, it's worth a considerable amount of money and you should probably get it professionally appraised.
