merchbar is a scam like this. they have tons of OOP stuff that is listed as “backordered” or temporarily out of stock but don’t actually have it. it’s also nearly impossible to get a refund if you try to buy one of those listings. one of the absolute worst companies to buy vinyl from. all customer service is outsourced to India too.

sounds like trapt or something. dunno, i don't get it. almost sounds like i can kind of hear a song underneath the wall of distortion and noise but, it's a struggle.

I get this. I definitely have to be in the mood for subtitles, but I don't dislike them as a whole. When time allows, I try to do one subtitled movie a week just so I don't get too many of them piled up. Veronica is quite good, subtitles and all! I will disagree on the books part though, they're great!

Yep! Slow Bloom's EP came out already and Hot Mulligan and Charmer have upcoming full lengths. I'm a fan of all 3 so this year is looking good so far. There should be full lengths from Pine, Death of a Nation, and hopefully a full length from Koji but he's been quiet.

Yes! I will urge CJ to repress that old album. Isn't it so great?! In other news, last night I took my girlfriend to see Yndi Halda with Staghorn, Wess Meets West, and Mineva. Holy. Fucking. Shit. I eat every naysaying word I ever wrote about Yndi Halda. That was god-tier. Their music takes on an entirely new life on stage... much like The End of The Ocean is an entirely different beast than on record. It was utterly breathtaking. They played 3/4 of Under Summer (unfortunately curfew prevented them from playing A Sun Colored Shaker) leaving out Helena. I don't know if any of you have ever seen them before, but for the end of "This Very Flight" they each took up these hand-mallet things to play the ending melody. They went around in turns, with each person playing one note of the melody after walking out into the crowd. It may rival "Sycamore" for the most epic ending I've ever seen. The whole venue was held rapt and dead silence...... it was fucking incredible. Check out this video to see what I'm talking about:

Ft. Wayne, Indiana makes no fucking sense but whatever. Also, DGD is seriously incredible live (leagues better than UO) so haters will probably still be impressed.

I highly doubt anyone is even remotely worried about optaining a black copy of these. just because you don’t see the point in collecting something doesn’t mean others do. a lot of people, including myself, have been after the colored versions of these titles for a bit now.

I imagine it's the first one as that came out in 1998 and that'd make it the 20th anniversary and first time on vinyl. Should only be a week before the full list lands so you won't have to wait long for full confirmation and details.

Might be of interest to some of you who aren't frequenting the RSD 2018 thread* the distributor Fab.ca does now have a listing for self titled Bass Communion 2LP on it which I would assume is a repress of the 1998 self titled album as it would be the 20th anniversary. May be relevant to you SW collectors. *to be fair it is normally an annual shit-show

Finally, I can appreciate the rich bass and general warmth of this album on vinyl as the Lord intended.

All I know is if AFI has any say in it the albums most likely won't get reissued. They're not huge fans of reissues, and they even put statements out asking not to support the label when Nitro reissued all of their albums without permission. And the same thing again when their old bass player put out new issues of their Dork 7" record. Davey has even said that he likes their releases to be rare.

The Hayden love knows no boundaries. I picked one up for myself as well. Super excited for this album - I have such a special affinity for this era. My family was travelling by car to Vancouver in 1998, and I looked in the classifieds to find out that Hayden was playing a night we were there, and awkward 14-year-old me went on my own to see him. I picked up a copy of Carry On Mentality (later badly damaged and since sold), and it just felt like a really special night. It was 17 years before I saw him live again (though have seen him three times in the last few years). Can't wait to get this.
