My big box of like everything came today and holy shit, it has pretty much everything! (21) 12"s, (10) 7"s, (10) Tapes, (1) test press (Taking Meds - - I requested it but I didn't think she'd actually send it..., and 1 banner. Packed like a beast, everything arrived w/ the record outside of the jacket. Not a single piece is damaged. Well worth it!!

dang, just now seeing this edit: looks like it's just a collab for a 7" series Bio: Taking inspiration from the original concept behind the founding of Saddle Creek, as an attempt to highlight our home city through music and art, we began the Document Series in 2017. Each release featured in the Document Series is comprised of an exclusive record featuring unreleased music from artists outside of the label's roster, along with a specially curated zine created by the artist. The fifth installment in the series comes from Austin, Texas based Hovvdy. Hovvdy (pronounced "howdy") is the writing and recording project of Charlie Martin and Will Taylor. The duo, both primarily drummers, rst met in the fall of 2014 and quickly bonded over a love for quiet music. Within a few weeks, they had combined songs and began recording their rst EP in bedrooms and family homes across Texas. By 2016 the two had committed to each others growth in songwriting and recording, resulting in their debut album Taster, originally released on Sports Day Records and reissued in 2017 by Double Double Whammy. They followed this in 2018 with the release of Cranberry, which dPitchfork described as, "Foggy, warm, and wistful, it sounds like faded time." Hovvdy has found a unique identity in rhythmic, down tempo pop songs that are hopeful, yet melancholy; relatable, yet distinguishable.

just wanted to give sunshine a heads up. my package finally arrived at the USPS origin facility today in Ohio and is set be received on the 29th. glad i at least know it is in process now. still bummed about getting it after release date, especially because i am dying to hear the grouper cover. oh well.

To me this album is utter trash. There's so much potential with each song, but they pretty much all just fall flat. I loved her first 3 albums, but to me this was such a let down. ...still hoping for a Yours Truly pressing

I actually revisited Albatross just yesterday for the first time in a while. It's still a nice listen, but I'm confident in saying that NMG has ruined everything that precedes it, for me and this band.

Alright, I first heard about Foxing during the Dealer album cycle, and because I hated that album so much I stubbornly refused to listen to The Albatross, even though it's their most well-regarded record. Gotta say this new LP is really hitting the spot and making me wanna go back and finally give TA a whirl.

I couldn't stomach the markup on the flexi disc edition. I'm guessing I'll be able to order the yellow vinyl edition for <$20 from a retailer, meaning after shipping the flexi would have cost me over $30. No thanks.

It's just one of our suppliers tooting their own horn. They aren't so good about putting the vinyl color in their data but they love to get this in there. We delete it when we notice it. You can safely ignore it. We don't try to be funny any more. We goofed around with the black variant of the first Stranger Things soundtrack and just confused everybody.

Someone won a record from me on [auction site] for $4 once and instantly sent a message "YOU BETTER SHIP THIS!" all caps and all. I was definitely gonna ship it before but that annoyed me so I replied that I accidentally spilled soda all over it and if they still want me to ship it. Of course they didn't want it anymore but I was totally gonna fuck it up before I shipped it.

This album turned 10 this year and I've listened to it well over 100 times. I'd be happy with anything pressed from Ludo. All they ever had was a Whipped Cream 7" picture disc.
