They've said it's a one time pressing, haven't mentioned numbers though. I'd imagine it's relatively limited, but probably 1000+ if I had to guess. I also spent a little too much this week, but this was a no-brainer for me.

Like right now, on the day of the first on-sale date, within 2 hours of the on-sale time, STUBHUB has between 5 and 140 tickets per section ALL AT INFLATED PRICES from the face value charged on TicketScalpster, in roughly EVERY single section of the venue for the Chicago date. While the original sale site has between 0 and 5 seats listed in only some sections and everytime you attempted to claim a seat, you get a message saying "Sorry! Another fan has done some magical bullshit that you can't do and fuck yourself and go die in a hole somewhere or pay more fucking money to our buddies who have all the fucking tickets you losing cunt. We hate you and can't wait to see you die." It doesn't take a genius to figure out what's going on.

That’s a ton of variety to cover. SFTB is a dense beast and not at all where I’d point a new listener to, but kudos to you for giving it a whirl. I love that record but it’s reserved for the right time and the right mood. Post-hiatus Swans - everything after SFTB - is my favorite era of theirs, personally. Don’t even care if that makes me some kind of late-to-the-party bandwagoner. The scope and magnitude of Seer / TBK / Glowing Man are unmatched.

I don't disagree but I see the different phases of Swans as completely separate bands. Filth is fucking great. But so is White Light and also Father. I think thats why I love the band so much: they change and so do I (we). Some albums are better than others but NONE are mediocre. My opinion of course.

That works well for a very small venue, will calls aren't equipped for a larger floor section entirely being will called. You want CC-only entry. u2 did it for all the floors of the stadium Joshua Tree tour and other than Vancouver which was the first stop on the bill, it was a massive success. I was on the floor in Toronto and I walked up, they scanned my credit card, it beeped and they gave us two GA Floor wristbands. Bam. Took all of 5 seconds.

That's the message I repeatedly got. I tried about 20 times, clicking on different seats. I eventually said fuck it and gave up. As much as I would like to see Tool, they're not worth that much time and aggravation.

Yeah, only resale tickets available for the LA shows when they went on sale today. I'm good - saw them with Primus a couple years ago. And yeah, Ticketmaster is shady as fuck.

I'm completely out. Why show available seats if they're not fucking available. This is not a system. They should just go back to phone and brick and mortar only orders. This is a complete giveaway to scalpers and ticket brokers.

I'm just glad that the new Vastum record will come out on 20buck instead of Relapse, so I won't be tempted to buy some stupid bundle with a colostomy bag or other nonsense. Definitely being a bit more discriminating about what I buy for the sake of my bank account. Trying to stay away from new bands as much as possible.

I like Darkside and Generational Divide the most of the five songs they've released.

There is literally a direct channel from Ticketmaster to all third party ticker resell websites. They're just a faction of the point of sale seller now. Its complete and thorough corruption at this point and there's no alternative for the consumer. Just got to be one of those lucky few who get a ticket for face value. I'm waiting in a queue right now. If two tickets cost more than $200 after fees and lies and cons I might have to sit this tour out. It will be the first tour I won't have seen since 2001.

My store dropped their inventory to about 1/4 of what it used to be from just a year ago... including no more big wall. We still have a sale section, but it's a milk crate that is constantly being moved around the store. Sometimes it's in the home clearance section, then next week it's hidden in the women's clothes, then a month later it's tucked away next to the fitting rooms...
